I went into the veg room today and saw a nutrient issue thst cropped up overnight. I am very worried. it looks like a micronutrient issue... i use pbp with cal mag and liuid karma and roots excalabur. with a ppm of 700...

for a 5 gallon bucket of water i have been using

4 tbls pure blend pro grow
2 tbls calmag
1 tbls liquid karma
1/4 tsp roots excalibur.

i water ever 2 days or so and the plants were great until the powder mildew came up and we treated with garden fungacide(sulfer spray). i hit it twice in a 6 day period.... and spot treated in between. i am worried that

1. i have a nutrient deficency
2. i overtreated with sulfer spray to kill the midew(Gardens Cure Brand)

PLZ HELP FAST. thanks, HM

what did they look like before? It just looks like you've got some type of fungus issue?

Maybe try spraying them down with some good water to clean off the fungicide if you think you've got that issue under control.

were your leaves shiny like they are in the 3rd pic before you sprayed them?

I would say just try misting them with some distilled water....the fungicide probably isn't doing much when it's all dried out anyway.

yea they were healthier... i just checked the tds runoff and ph runoff and it was bad i might haver found the issue. the ph was under 6... and the tds was 1900-2000 ppm... ouch... i am now flushing to a ph of 6.8-7.0 and an tds of 450-650...depending on the ph. this has opened my eyes a bit to the importance of leaching and flushing. i will do this to all my plants and moniter the progress... and will be feeding with 1/4 strength solution after the flush.

yeah but your plants are more than two months old, they should be able to handle 2000 ppm ... unless I'm wrong

wow 2000 ppm on a vegging plant. i never heard of anything like that. maybe you could explain how this could be a good thing.

Ok so now all of the plants are flushed to about 600ppm and 6.8-7.0 ph... i will wait a few days before giving them any nutes i guess... or should i ht them with 1/4 strength ferts in the morning?

the lower leafs on your plants have phosphorus deficiency bro. i would start feeding at half strenght,,have a look at your nutes to see if thay have phosphorous in them..if it has your plants wil come round...since youve flushed its just like starting again so start of at half strength
and work you way up ...

highlander, i wonder if the deficiency is cause by ph lockout or something. i thought the same thing at first but now am not so sure.

yip bro it would of been, iff you ph is out then you will get lockout,,this being 1 ofs the things that has been locked out...but since youve flushed you should have a clean slate..just keep a eye on you ph when feeding, try and keep your feed PH in the same bracket as the water you flushed with ... it wont matter if your slightly out as the soil will buffer to hold the right ph. but try your damdest to get as close as poss:yes:...

ps.. let your tap water sit out overnight, this will give time for the chlorine evapotate. and slightly drop the ph (not by much but it all helps)

keep it green

Man I would flush and just start over again, you'll get it, just happens sometimes, best of luck and man I think you will get it fixed, no worries.

quick note

quick note

i bought a new ph meter today that adjsts for temperature. and i am stunned. it reads a whole point different than the one i have now. i can only think the electrode must have been going out... so apparently, when i was using ph up i was taking my ph to levels above optimal... this is yet another example of why calibration and maintenance on meters is of the most importance. Im still waiting to see how the flush did... i suppose most of the plants are looking good, while a couple of them definitly took a dive... Maybe the transplant will take them out of this shock...
