Can a tea "die" in 3 days from bubbling?

I made a tea gallon of tea and used an airstone to bubble it. 12 hours later there was foam coming out the top, 24 hours later there lots more foam, 48 hours later there hardly any foam at all. Is this stuff still good?

I understand that. I'm just wondering why there is a sudden decrease in the foam.

Stabilization! Also I found out if you add fish emulsion, it contains a natural surfactant-ish that will knock the foam down. Nothing to worry about but tea has an expiration date unless you can keep it living. Aerobic only live in water for a very short period - until the dissolved oxygen is gone.

the tea is just fine. when its finished it should have a pleasant, earthy smell and be foamy. there probably wasnt any foam on the third day becuase its ready to use. you only need to bubble tea for 24-48 hours.

You might try and increase your mollasses. This will extend the life of the tea for a short period of time but not much. On the 4th or 5th day my extra goes to the house plants.
