outlaw's Double Purple Doja f2 X Mental Floss
first off, sorry there are no pictures. i figured some info was better than none so here it goes...
just wanted to give a quick and early smoke report on the DPDXMENTAL. additional discussion on this strain can be found here... (http://www.icmag.com/ic/showthread.php?t=81599&page=22&pp=15)
first off, this was grown in 100% organics with organic additives (sweet and bio bizz) and molassas with a full 2 week flush. i do have to say, my first post was a bit misleading. after drying, the buds DO have a nice purple hue to them. under 100X magnification, you can see it isn't the actual bracts that are purple but the heads on the trichs. i also have to say, this is one of the most resinous strains i've ever seen. trichs on top of trichs. even the fan leaves had purple trichs on them. at first whiff, the smell is UBERfunky. somewhere in between skunk and strong lemon/citrus fuel. it also has some hints of lavender and reminds me of some of the finer "purples" going around out west. this shit will definitely get you busted if you walk around the wrong people with it. VERY STRONG! the buds are somewhat light and airy due to the strong sative influence but are comprised of calyxes stacked on calyxes, very reminiscent of fine hash plant. the inhale is very much like incense and candy with a very quick and large lung expansion. exhale is pure incense. the high is that of a very heady sativa. quickly lifts the top of the head about a foot into the sky. it's somewhat racey but not to the point of paranoia. very well balanced. this is one we will be making more room for in the future. BIG thanks to outlaw. not to be rude but i didn't start with extremely high expectations for this one as most of the rest of outlaw's offerings were crosses of elite cuttings (urkel, og, etc) and i couldn't even begin to throw my hat into the $300/pack ring for those. i got these because they were affordable ($60 bin i believe) and was completely BLOWN AWAY! still have another female pheno and 2 males that i may use in some crosses down the road.
all in all, i would have to give this one a 10/10. flowering time was respectable for a predominatly sativa (roughly 9 1/2 - 10 weeks) and the yield was also really respectable. the smoke is incredible in not only potency but in aesthetics as well. an all around keeper.
