Outdoors 12/12 in pots..size?

Just curious as to what I can expect with the following conditions:

12/12 just about all year round
Planning on growing in 2 to 5 gallon containers
Growing hindu kush and a hawaiian sativa(said to flower in about 65 days)

I'm hoping to keep these rather short, mostly in hopes that it won't veg for too long before the flowering starts. I think I remember hearing that plants like to fill out their roots before they start flowering, and will generally grow to the amount the container/roots allow them to.

I wouldn't mind if the kushes only yielded a little less than an oz in a gallon or 2 pot. Anyone see that happening, and maybe reaching full bud maturity in 2-3 months?

Pretty much the same questions for the sativa, but I planned on putting these in 3-5 gallon containers in hopes for a bigger plant, considering I think they may take a little longer to start flowering.

Any input is greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Under 12/12, the hindu kush should flower almost immediately. I had some Homegrown Fantaseeds Afghani flower immediately in small pots last year. It was 11 1/2 hours of light back then..they flowered at 4-5" and went purple. Too bad they were both males..they were really funky!

The Hawaiian sativa should yield a little more. On the whole, sativas have to reach a certain level of maturity before they flower.

Ideally, you should veg your plants (both the kush and sat) indoors until they're about a foot high. then you can expect considerably higher yields outside. It's possible to flower a plant under 12/12 from seed and end up with only a few grams per plant. Imagine harvesting a plant and rolling 1-2 joints with it. That would suck huh? :p

That's what I figured...the kush would flower almost immediately(at 6 inches or so, stretch to maybe a little over a foot fully mature), while the sativa will grow to a foot & a half before flowering..maybe reaching 3 or 4 feet fully mature in a 3 or 5 gallon planter. Been readin up about growing from seed in bigger containers. Not sure if I'll be there in time to transplant, but I was thinking of growing in peat pellets while they're seedlings. We'll see. Order arrived earlier, along with skunk#1 freebie(we'll see what sprouts out of these..but I plan on growing these girls too). Should be getting them planted soon. Can't wait.

what's good gmb...which banks did you get your kush and sativa from? hope you get at least a few good plants from the freebie seeds. i hear the germ rates on them aren't the best.

i usually start right in 5 gallon containers myself, occasionally transplanting up to 10 gallon. I have some 15 gallon grow bags for my next grow :) I was gonna go with 20, but I don't feel like hauling that much soil up a mountain...lol. I've never used peat pellets, but I hear they can hurt your germ rates. I'd germ right in loose mix myself.

Right on. Thanks for the feedback. Went with the budget picks...Hindu kush from Nirvana and Paia hawaiiana from Sativa Seedbank. Assuming that I'll get a few phenos from the kush(guessing it was crossed with skunk..maybe), as well as the sativa being not as "sativa" as some (only like 9-10 wk flower). Either way..I'll probably just plant into the soil and make sure to hook up some sort of irrigation sys especially while they're little. Hoping to get at least an oz or 2(not expecting more than 2) off the sativas..and anywhere from 1/2 oz to 1 oz(unlikely) from the kush. We'll see. Pictures will be here when there's something to take.
