Outdoor spot on public land near a school

20,000+ acres of "public" woods in non-med state and there is water available. It borders a school of some sort on one side. I assume there is greater risk?

I would check your laws they are usually stiffer next to a school if you get busted. Also generally people notice more if there is someone roaming around outside a school because of the kids, even at night if there is a teacher of someone staying late.

How close are you growing to it?

I should note that a permit is required to be on these lands. Its fenced off on all sides. There are many access points. Entry on school side would be the riskiest.

Does the spot get full sun? If so I would go for it. Just bring all of your growing supplies to the location well before the season starts. I find a helmet wearing trail poaching mountain biker is a good guise when on restricted lands.

Is the land patrolled by a park ranger? I have grown on restricted land and highway medians, both I visit at night only. Anytime trespassing can get you arrested or ticketed, or growing on federal land you got to be professional, leave nothing behind, cover your tracks, and don't go during a cloudless night with a full moon.

Not patrolled in the usual sense. Park closes at 8pm and I think everyone goes home. Any experience evading or detecting trail cams?

oooh, stealthy stuff. yr need to grow must be very high! whether you get away with it will depend on how good you are in the bush.

is daniel boone one of yr heroes? ha, ha ... "daniel boone in a forest full of fallout" (ken kesey wrote that.)

I've grown in a state park.

Like was said, it would really be a bad idea to be spotted stalking around the woods near a school. Especially if you're going to be obscuring your face or acting stealthy. They might bring down a shitstorm on you suspecting a school shooting.

Wearing a bug net mask is a great way to avoid any sort of trail cams or just regular old leo with cameras staking out your patch trying to get a pic of you tending.

Stay the hell away from the school.

School zone laws are typically 1000 feet, so you're probably good on that.

The fence concerns me. That means they don't want you in there.

bad idea. think abuot all the kids at the school .. after school that will go in those woods.. and find ur shit.. and kids are dicks. they take it all.. if its done or not.. flowering or not. and if they do find it and dont take it.. it will be the talk of the school and eventually the cops will be involved.. and then u get charged with cultivating near a school zone... not worth it .. man .. too many risks.. id find a new spot .
