Outdoor Security question

i asked this in another post but got no responses...i guess cuz it wasnt really the right forum and it was buried in a page long post.

if choppers spot a small patch close to my house but not on my property will they be able to get a warrant for my home based on proximity? there is nothing to tie me to my grow(finger or footprints, etc) other than this website and proximity.....regarding proximity there are other houses around but a lil further off and one about equidistant as mine from the patch....any thoughts or ideas?

thats what i thought but im still curious if they would pull the plants immediately and do a bunch of knock and talks in the area or if they would try to "catch" me at the plot. I only fear being caught red handed or a dirty warrant, knock and talks dont bother me, i AM NOT incriminating my self under any circumstances

Obviously I don't know where you are, but usually here in Oregon if they spot it they'll come and pull it. They don't have the time or manpower to try to stake it out and catch the grower. They could be waiting there for a long time.

I've read of LE rigging up time lapse cameras to try to catch the outdoor growers: find a patch, set up a camera, come back a week later and check the film.
Of course, if your patch is pretty small, they probably wouldn't bother. And as the other poster said, in places with lots of outdoor grows, they just rip and burn, won't bother trying to catch anyone cause they just don't have the equipment, manpower or time.
So, if anything, you might want to wear a cap and sunglasses when visiting your patch from now on. It's probably not necessary, but better safe than sorry. Just my two cents... :joint:

I am sure they would assume it was from someone close by if you are in a subdivision or some type of urban environment. If it is out in the country than it is a crap shoot could be me or any other guerilla grower but I have never heard of them "Knock and Talk" on a outdoor opp.

What do they have to gain by entering your home unless you have an indoor opp also?

My guess is eradication and move on like someone else said not enough manpower. Just being aware is half the battle so you are on the right track by asking questions.

I was going to post something else, but when I think about what you described, you should be aware of the 'copter hovering over your patch. If that's the case, you would have to be mad to go back anytime soon.

About the investigation part, the pigs that will do that will be the locals. And they would have to be tipped off about your patch. Still it's doubtful that they would go around and announce to your neighbors about what they found, lest they inadvertantly tip off the grower.
