Outdoor questions! Northeast

What's up fellow growers! So I'm going on my second outdoor season here. And doing some thinking. Last year I grew my 6 legal plants outdoors and plan on sticking to the 6 again. But last year I was behind the punch and they were only about 8-10" tall when I put them out in June.

Right now I have some that are almost root bound in 1 gallon pots about 14" tall. I'm wondering if I'd be biting off more than I can chew if I veg them until first of June and then put them outdoors.

Will they be to big? To hard to manage? Any issues I might run into?

Once a plant is rootbound it is never the same afterward. You've gotta transplant those ASAP or start over. The biggest thing is healthy plants, because healthy seedlings will blow right by stunted/fucked up 2 ft plants.

You may consider sprouting them and them out as seedlings in little mini 'greenhouses' (clear plastic 20oz cup upside down with the bottom cut off). These will protect them from frost, allow them to be in their final holes earlier the year, keep heat in, and retain moisture.

Good luck!

Putting them outside after the first frost isn't an option unless you got a greenhouse and supplemental lighting . Night time temps are too low and your plant could and prob would start to flower unless you had some additional lighting. How bout taking some cuts and vegging those out to put outside in June?

Hmm I posted something guess it didn't go threw lol.

I have a grow room downstairs runs year round, so I can just throw these ones in there I just figured a crazy long time for veg would be nice yielders outside lol but thinking have to many issues.

I put the outside last year mid may, didn't have any issues whatsoever last year but they were only like 10" tall when put them out. Got about 2 pounds off 6 plants .

I have seedlings that are on 3rd leaf set. I'll prob run those outside this year.
