Outdoor Mastrelow - harvested

G

Gilles&Cheryl

Keep in mind that this particular pheno is not the best yielding. I also had to harvest about 10-14 days early because of budrot.

Hi, rebo. Thanks for posting.

The flavor is just excellent. The taste is hard to put a name on. It's a mix of flavors like mint, pine, fruit, a cool misty morning, hard candy.

The high is pretty nice. Its a relaxing mood lifter. Great joint weed. Last night we went to a friend's house and took a 1.5g blunt with us to be shared by four seasoned smokers. By the end of the blunt there wasn't a white eye in the room.

A lot of people have fears about the potency but it is there. To put it's potency in prospective, I would say that a properly grown/cured Masterlow bud is just as potent as the average bud you might buy in an Amsterdam coffee shop with twice the taste. That's been my experience.

I have two more outside that are nearing harvest. Bud rot is plaguing them as well. I guess our humid hot spring isn't the time to be having dense and sticky buds.

This plant got all day sun.

I am interested to see what differences in potency, if any, can be noticed between indoor and out. I am also noticing that the outdoor plants take a little longer to mature. Another thing I noted was the size of the trichs -the outdoor plants have very large, bulbous trichs.

I really appreciate all the compliments.

Thanks for taking the time to answer my question :)
it sounds like I'm going to have to give it a try.

on average how much did each plant yield. i think anything with kush in it isnt the best yielding to begin with,

on average what was the final height?

was there alot of variation?

containers or ground? if containers what size?

nice looking plant btw. side branches really caught up to the main stalk. must have been spaced apart pretty good. do you think this strain would grow a main bud if it was packed more or less like a SOG?

Master Low old stock via S_a_H

Master Low old stock via S_a_H

My good buddy S_a_H actually saved some old school M.L. stock. A year ago or so, S_a_H sent me those beans and they have since been grown out many times, and it has yet to fail me. Each and every grow has been excellent. I also came across some old school M.L. seeds that survived a raid. Heres a female to check out.

It's hard to say what the final yield of each outdoor plant would have been because I had problems with budrot. But I think an average of 14g a plant could be attained outdoors with Masterlow.

on average what was the final height?

Masterlow probably averages between 15" to 20" on average, for me. I have had some taller and some shorter.

was there a lot of variation?

Not really, I notice about 3 different phenotypes. 75% of the plants are the same pheno.

containers or ground? if containers what size?

They were/are in the ground in pre-dug holes filled with coco coir.

This strain will grow a huge top bud, regardless of spacing, just not this particular pheno. A lot of people call it the "auto topping pheno". To prove my point:

That is from indoor but as you can see there is the potential for a huge top cola.

BTW, the original seeds I started with are from the stock Mdanzig mentioned in his post. They have never failed me either.

i dont understand the appeal of masterlow, the yeilds are just awefull consistantly, i never see anyone pulling more then 10=15 grams of them. theres another one in this autoforum forgot who but it went 86 days,, yes 86 days!!!! 4 what?? like 15 grams and it was grown indoors. inside of 86 days you could be pulling much more then that with any number of indica dom plants properly vegged for a few weeks before u bloom them......sorry just not into novelty cannabis- and am bascially pretty disinchanted with the auto movement, orderd dutch passions, they didnt auto like they were supposed to, alot of sketchy(dope addict like ethics) in play with theese new auto releases, stick with joint docters i say-

I just grew out these Master Lows and got well over an ounce off each plant. Not sure, but you seem like the type that sees a glass as half empty.

From what Ive heard Dutch Passions are NOT true auto-flowering. All of mine auto-flower in 21-24 days or less, and excell under 24 hours of light. Yes, 18/6 will do fine, but why when light=growth. A lot depends on the grower, and his conditions.

your masters that yeilded an ounce do look spot on. great work-....i do realize that theres alot of variance between autos, some of them grow great some dwarf becuase of grower eror but sometime just dwarf all by themselves. i think when u make your own seeds u can start a bunch and when they flower u can through away the junk, an option thats not available to alot of growers their first time around having paid like 60 dollars for ten seeds and so i cant blame them for riding out there crop for 86 days to harvest 4.3 grams or maybe better a hundred free seeds- hope my cup is sounden maybe 51% full? :joint:....those masters look incredible

Yeah, dontae1000, my glass gets half empty sometimes, too. I just focus less of my attention on all of life's negative aspects and focus more of my attention on my huge masterlow bud/seed stash. Works like a charm.

Nice, even thought the yield was a bit small. Of course, it was outdoors.

I have some probs with bud rot occasionally, too. If the Masterlow buds didn't get so dense, there wouldn't be a problem to talk about.

I've grown Masterlow for more than two years now, and if I put it into a pot 3 liters or more, I'm taking 20 grams of trimmed bud off of it, and that's dry weight. ALWAYS under 24 hours.

I haven't grown the Plant Formerly Known as Blue Streak, or anything else that came out in the last year, but Masterlow is a quite potent, stable, and stupidity-tolerant strain.

I like to grow buds, not sticks.

Thanks Mr. Mike, Im not trying to brag, but S_a_H did a run awhile back, and the smoke was just excellent. I like M.L. a whole lot, and it has been one of the best AF's consistantly.
