Outdoor - Leaving Supplies at Site

What do you guys think about leaving supplies at your site. Say, a couple gallons of pre-mixed nutrients, a pH meter, etc. Just wipe everything down when you leave it and wear gloves? Each time I go I dislike carrying all that on me more and more.

Yah not really a great idea, i mean maybe a bag of soil or a extra pot if your going back to finish tomorrow and dont want to carry shit, but as far as leaving all your supplies i wouldnt do it.

I meant leave it there hidden, obviously not just sitting in the open.

My thinking is that if you run into someone, maybe LEO on the way to your spot and you have all that stuff on you it's pretty obvious what you're up to but if you kept your gear hidden there you'd never have it on you and maybe you could get yourself of it if you were stopped.

That's fine we do that just make sure it is well hidden. We use trash cans 35g and put them in the ground just paint the top we have a few scatted around Some hold extra water some hold supplies. We put Mothballs arround everything including plants critters hate the smell.

Here is how I manage equipment at my site:

SPRING
- I drive in and drop off anything I need at the path into the site and then go a park the car elsewhere.
- I bring in everything I need before the season starts one night/raining/storm and leave it about 100m away from the site in a concealed waterproof bag. if somebody finds the bag they probably will search forever there and not find the plants elsewhere.
- I try to estimate what I will need for the year at each plot and have it there.

EACH VISIT
- Cellphone off each visit ;-) I try to do <5 visits per plot.
- Before I get my bag or enter my plot I examine the trail, trees, etc. for damage (cameras) or other sign of any visitors for at least 10m until I am satisfied it's OK.
- Before I pick up my bag and go to the plots I put on some gardening gloves which limits traces or fingerprints. Everything in the bag has been wiped down beforehand.
- Because I have everything with me: collapsible water jugs, insecticide, ferts, bloom, supports, netting, etc I can make better decisions about what to do in the field at this visit and keep the ladies growing well until the next visit.

FALL
- I have cloth bags and do a basic trim on-site. Rough buds into one, fan leaves into another.
- I prep the site for next year. Turn over the plot, add some compost I have gathered and cover with leaves. Ready for next year.
- Everything/product goes back in the bag for extraction. I bring the bag almost back to my car and drop it. I come out and check out the road and walk to the car. If I have the nerves I will drive away for 10m. Once OK I then go back and get the bag into the and leave.
- I never smoke/carry before/during these visits and never bring anybody to the plot.

I love this quote. Nothing truer can be said here.

If you have to worry about bringing in insecticide, green cure for mold, veg nutes, bloom nutes, twine to tie up the plants, buckets to water etc you will forget something. Dig a hole place a 5 gal bucket in the hole and put all materials in it. Place a GASKETED lid "sold at every big box store in the paint department" on top of the buried bucket. You now have a safe dry place to store your gear.

One chink in the armor here is seasonal flooding. Take it from a guy who has lost his share of buckets. No matter how tightly you packed the soil around it when it floods the bucket will rise out of the whole and float away.

All this talk about the popo placing cameras on your site but i have never heard of the popo doing this. Does anybody else know of the cops placing cameras for that matter?

I have been stopped with a buddy between the 2 of us we had 4 gallon jugs of water, told the deputy we were going hiking and wanted to ensure we stayed hydrated lol...

I would just throw ur supplies in some thick bushes. I would think you're more likely to get caught lugging cam shit out there then if you were to just use some common sense and toss it in a bush ;-)
