outdoor hydro

Yeah I've done it and many others here have compared to organic soil it's not economical large scale and if that's why you're considering it I suggest starting to read now!
Do you want to try to mix a 2500 gallon tank every few days?

no, cant say I was considering it, I saw all the different forums, and I was curious as to why there wasn't a aoutdoor hydro, like the indoor...I assumed it to be near impossible, unless it was a wick system, or some below ground reservoir type of deal... something that would be way more involved then what I would be interested in either way... just a cat question... but thanks for the info guys...

is that growing a whole plant off of some variety of floating structure in a pool pond lake etc?? that's not what im talking about... im talking about a reservoir, and clay pellet, or lava rock buckets, trays, containers etc... but outside guerilla growing or just put a plant or 2 or 6 out on ebb and flow buckets with the res in basement or buried underground... not impossible, but more work than what I think is necessary. other than to prove it to myself that its possible, ill just use dirt... hydro is cool inside as long as there is no major malfunction, and im good with that...

I did it back in the overgrow days..water farms and ebb and flow ..for the ebb and flow I sunk the reservoir into the ground to help keep it cooler....yeehaw..I also did the floating raft but it wasn't hydro just taking up water into a soil mix..got wiped out by muskrats....guess they didn't like me invading their spot

Coco works well outdoors, I did it for years, plentiful water supply, control over nutrition and the ability to properly flush weed gives bigger and better od crops

There is also another method that works well, yet few try.... Grow plant in the ground as normal, but sink a bucket/tank in the ground close by, add in all the water, nutes, pumps, all you want, like this, the plant has the best of both worlds

The best outdoor plants I have ever seen, in person or in photo, were on a river delta, planted in 2m deep alluvial soil, underneath gravel with water flowing through, explosive growth and all natural, but you can "cheat" and make your own flowing water below wherever you wish. IMO most outdoor growers are unwittingly looking at big beautiful outdoor plants that are often hardly growing at all in the hot midday sun as they are water restricted. Not an easy thing to explain to the proud owner of a bunch of giant canna trees...

My grow guru showed me outdoor hydroponic wick system for growing plants in lava deserts here in Hawaii. I have taken the system furthur and can now be applied to most enviroments.
I can share if anyone is interested, aloha.
