Mask up and go get your two poor dehydrated plants! There's no camera out there; 10-1 it was kids who found your plants and didn't know what to do with so much weed so they left 'em. The rest could very well be laying out there trailside somewhere too.
No matter the case it was someone(s) who knows nothing about weed- if they did they'd have them all and if it was cops they would too.
In the meantime I'll start taking up a collection for your bail. Not that there is a camera out there but, well, you know...

I would go and get them 100% for sure. cuz 2 summers ago It was poring down rain and flooding in my hood and I still went to harvest my gorilla garden in chest deep water and in a place where snakes lived and other creepy crawling things lived and I did it at night too.
I got home safely with all my goods hung em up to dry and they turned out gr8.

go get those poor things, hope most isn't destroyed by now. bandana up with a beanie on duck tape your soles nice and good and invest in some gradeA night vision goggles and have fun on your mission. is this a very remote spot? no service? all text-alert trail camera system needs a good amount of service to send the signal out. I would imagine they wouldn't bother with real time alerts with this # of plants, prob wouldn't even bother period unless there is some type of sophisticated knowledge of growing such as certain irrigation techniques, ect. they will have a much more desire to find them

Cops wouldn't waste thier resources on such a small grow man. They also chop plants.

Definitely sounds like rippers. Glad you managed to grab them, I probably would have gone back myself.

Its not cops.
A grow that small they will just chop at the base and drag or fly em out if OR they won't touch any and will wait for you to process through and will nab you at your car or while in your car with the evidence.
Sounds to me like either hunters or kids. They probably up rooted them to move to a different location to finish up or they are dumb and didn't think to just cut the branches quickly.
Very un-nerving to see this in person .... it happened to me back in 09. Saw them at noon happy and full of their bounty .... came back at 1am to skeletons
Very sorry for your loss.... don't let it get you down just redouble your efforts and take it as lessons learned for next year...... best thing to take away from this is that you are still a free man... able to grow another year. My lesson .... never have a partner unless they have equal investment and you trust them like blood. My ex partner got busted while transporting lol...karma....got busted w 5# of Durban poison lol....still in jail and here I am growing outdoors still
