I did manage to get a good start on the second solar lunar light cycle that would have been a source of flower bloom but I gave up the light deprivation for light supplement and changed focus early on looking now toward the second harvest and much large foliage working on a sea of green in outdoor control temp beds with hoop houses. On a seedling, that is probably going to work out GREAT.
I had some clones that I put out early, like May 1, thinking that the pre-dawn light would give me a 15 hour day.
But the plants acted as if they were in 12/12. Went into flowering and would not snap out of it.
No auto or ruderalis in them.
And I wanted those moved outdoors too early clones, to go back into veg.
I think that change of light cycle is easier for a young seedling than for a 2 month old clone.
I eventually moved the too-early clones indoors, 12/12 under 30 watts of LED.
Meanwhile, my neighbors' seedlings, also started May 1, are 2 feet high. Same day length & similar genetics (I gave him the seeds).
One option is ... to add a light if I move outdoors early.
However, I don't like the stealth implications of that. Guess I'll just live with a shorter outdoor season for the clones.
