Hello there After my total failure due to early start and a crazy hailstorm that killed all of my plants. Im now up and running with some new ladies in the woods.. I planted out: 6 nirvana sky 6 number one 6 Annapura 1 Finx girl 1 Old Farmer Nepal (non auto) They were started indoors for two weeks and then put out. After two weeks alone in the woods(with shit weather) at 60N. Some are doing great and others have been munched up by the biggest threat to canna up here SNAILS. Im using snail poison and copper wire as protection but they still make it through the barriers and eat my ladies. 5 Super autos has been lost/semi lost but thats just fine, I still have plenty out there! I also planted some more autos when i was out there: 10 Jet47 10 Purple Mazar 10 Santa 10 Onyx 10 Perkeruhder & and Finx They were put straight in to the ground. We will see how they do when i go out to have a look next time. Used 3 times as much "Snail Off" as recommended so hopefully that helps. They are all planted in potting soil mixed with perlite and the natural soil that is very good. Here are a couple of pic from the woods " 4 weeks, the only one that has showed sex is the FINX, but just a couple of preflowers. One of the Annapuras, 2+ft tall

Thank you for the kind words.

Drago: The Annapuras are 4 weeks, 2 indoors and then 2 rainy once out doors. Its the opposite for me, Annapuras are really fast and Nirvanas behind... Think they all will turn out good though, as long as the weather picks up!!

copper wire works the best for slugs. my outdoors regular plants were getting destroyed by slugs. once i put the wire around the base of the stem, the plant looked like totally different plant after a weeks growth with wire around them. somehow i always forget to put the copper wire out when i first plant.

Thank you folks for stopping by my thread!

Artic: Im excited about that one to, the vigor and growth is amazing! Put on other 10 in soil a week a go to so hoping ill get som more of the Perk or Finx. Hoping to get a nice, big purple Mazar male and let him have his way with some lower branches on the Finish girl, bet she likes that...

Smokey: Usually the copper wire works fine, i was a bit lazy and didnt put enough of it around the girls, but that is fixed now so hopefully no more slugs eating of my beauties.

420Gurl: Im hopping the blend in nicely. Bet i will have hunters going after dear walking straight past my girls a couple of times this summer, its one of them spots... The good thing is that almost no one would recognize a MJ plant growing in the wild in my neck of the woods. No one would look for it nor think they could grow this far north... But to make them blend in is the way forward, better be safe the sorry.

Giddy up.

Couple of more Pictures for you folks out there.

Nirvana Sky that has recovered well from a brutal snail attack. Showing some nice purple in the new growth. Half of my nirvanas are and so are some of the Annapuras.
Stitch if you are watching this, do the supers often show Purple color when grown out doors?

Nirvana Sky, she has showed sex/preflowers and is taking of like mad. Slow starter but looks like she is used to the rough outdoors and starting to like it.

And finaly my pride, the massive Annapura - very Hazy, very big and beautiful. 11 fingered leaves, not showed sex yet so this will become massive.

Been out watering the girls, 80 liter of water later and im done..... Its no joke keeping an outdoor grow going, hard work but worth it in the end. My girls are getting bigger and will need less water soon, when the roots are deep down below. I have an other 4 weeks to care for them and then i will have to leave them alone for 3-4 weeks as ill be going a way... Dont really see a problem with that though, usually get some rain once in a while over here. and by then the girls will be big and strong.

All of the super that are at 6weeks has shown sex and are girls. (have 2 @3 weeks and 2@ 1 week as well) The biggest plants that has been slug free all the time are getting massive and just have a bit of preflowers so thinking the yield from them will be very very good. The smell is amazing and very strong for being this early in to flower, strongest menthol ive ever had from a canna plant with a slight hint of citrus. Took a wile before i understood that it came from my ladies, thought it was my deodorant or some thing :p

The Finx girl has recovered form repotting and started growing again, did nothing for almost 2 weeks after the transplant but has taken of again and looking lush.

I have a week of sunshine comming my way so all should be good, next time i go out there ill bring the camera and document all the progress. Have a couple of shity mobile pics i might post later, until then.
Lots of karma to all of you growers out there. Take care and stay safe.

A bit of an update....

Its looking promising out in the woods... Some of the super Autos are looking great big and beautiful, most of the once that were eaten by slugs are small but alive and flowering so its all good. Some are showing a nice purple tone, looks like they will go completely purple. The Finx girls is still a bit under the weather since repoting, think i damaged the roots :( and the lone Old Farmer Nepal showed sex and it was a male, damn it!!

Here are a couple of shots for you all.
Annapura close to 3ft tall

Massive Nirvana Sky, it has taken of tha last weeks and is 1 meter + now

Number One

Small Nirvana Sky showing very impressive tric coverage, been flowering for 1.5w aprox.

Another of the small super autos that got totally ruined by slugs but has recovered. They are small but smell like heaven and still looks beautiful
picture.php

Thats it for this time, ill get some purple bud shots for you all next time i go out to check on the ladies. One thing that im very impressed with is the smell and the Tric coverage. They are showing lots of crystals even on the fan leaves very early in flower. If they keep on producing like this it will be some very very dank bud by the end of this summer.

Keep on growing and stay safe you all.
