Some years ago, I purchased an OJD mix pack from CGS. It was a variety of OJDs moms hit with G13H. 9/10 seeds were females, and of the 9 females, I was only able to keep two at the time.
I kept a stretchy, medium yielding mother (OJD D) that produced purple/blue buds come harvest, especially during winter months with colder ambient temps. This strain became legend locally. My friends and I to this day, have not experienced a strain with that type of bag appeal, smell, and flavor... cant even describe the smell/taste, as ive not had it before. It was simply amazing.
The second pheno (OJD C)kept was a fairly short, squat, bushy pheno, absolutely covered in bright orange hairs and lime green buds. This stuff was stinky as hell, and produced nice fat colas, ranging from 2 liters to softballs. While this strain didnt have the buzz of my OJD D, it was still killer, and the bag appeal was out of this world. I cant stress enough how covered in bright orange hairs this strain was.
Yes, I said was. Unfortunately, the lads that took over my grow, and preserved my strains, got in a bit of trouble. Greed and ego were the reason I lost my genetics. I also lost a killer Swt99 mother I had gotten from a pack from DGS, colas the size of 3 liter bottles... it was wild
Well, I am in the works of setting up again. This time, I will not have any partners to lose my genetics
I am planning a SOG, 6-8" pots (will be doing test runs to compare yields for each strain), coco, flood and drain. 2 4x4 trays.
I am looking for some CGS genetics, preferably sativas due to shorter veg time, that will be ideal for a SOG. Long, dense colas, with minimal side branching. I plan on lollipopping the plants. I was thinking any CJ or SSSDH genetics should do the trick.
What say you?
Glad to be back, and cant wait to get some CGS genetics in the garden.
