Made by Top Shelf seeds

Any body grow these?
Experiences?
Thoughts?
Advice?

I obtained these seeds a few years ago because I was collecting C99 crosses, not knowing a thing about the Original Diesel/Daywrecker/real Headband/Underdawg/any other names?

Anyways... I'm fishing for info since I've got 5 of these babes at 2-3 nodes.

Thanks in advance community. :)

Original Diesel / Daywrecker is probably the most fun strain to grow ever. Huge greasy yielding diesel baby arms with a bomb ass happy grass buzz to boot.. Miss that girl, I can only imagine there's amazing potential in those beans please update the community w pics when you get that pussy popped.

Interesting genetics, I'll seat here to see the result if you don't mind.

TSS call to this "Sour Apple", I've read (don't know where) that they use a C99 Pineapple pheno. Imo you can expect a tropical mix between sour/citrus and pinneaple, for sure very tasty.

Does she continue being a lonely girl or already has some friend?

Shit...
I haven't seen thi in a few days. lol

I've got 2 females & 3 males.

I'm thinking about F2s.
Have rooted cuts of the females just transplanted from the cloner. I'm thinking that because these are F1s that I'll collect pollen from the boys, mix it in equal quantities by weight, then get a few hundred seeds from each of the 2 ladies.

The two ladies are very different from each other but the males are fairly similar so far.

I need to get some pics of the gals, at the least.

Using all 3 males on the 2 females is your best option for a F2 but i'm not sure you should mix them, you'd better use it on different branches of the girls, keep the seeds apart and see what male has the best progeny.

I agree with Kro-magnon, I would do it like that, each pheno x the 3 males in different branches.

So... What differences do you see in those girls?... Any parental predominance?

I would but I have no intention of keeping the males, hence, hundreds of seeds to sort through, give away, etc.

Main difference between the girls at this point is one is squat & one is tall. And some leaf characteristics.

I'm not aquainted with the Original Diesel so have zero perspective to base from.
Only aquainted w C99 via finished flowers & I fell in love.

Greenhouse flowers...

Greenhouse flowers...

The two ladies act completely different in the greenhouse.
While the #2 continues veging the #1 has flowered. OD however, both plants are veging as normal.
My greenhouse is a cheapo ShelterLogic 10x20. If I recall correctly the light transmission through the fabric is around 87%. I would have thought that the plants would have gone into overdrive after being brought to the greenhouse from being under 435 watts of T5 lighting but everything seemed to trigger flowering. Plants were introduced to the greenhouse a couple weeks previous to the solstice. I don't have an exact date but the ID was timed to coincide with the natural daylength plus an hour.
I'm not sure if the one hour reduction in light time could have triggered flowering alone or if it was in conjunction with being introduced to the greenhouse. It will probably remain speculation.

Here's a couple sideways shots of the OD x C99 #1 mother in flower.

Out door Diesel

Out door Diesel

OD99 #1

OD99 #2

ECSD99

G13HP x Diesel

I took 4 ECSD99 males pollen, mixed n saved. I also mixed & saved pollen from 3 OD99 males.

On top of all that pollen...
I'm flowering out a Chem D IBL male & collecting pollen.

Original Diesel x C99 #1 cut has already been hit with all 3 types on select branches as it's flowering earlier than the rest inside the greenhouse.
Chem D IBL gets its own cuttings of each of the OD99s and my BB Sativa x Afghan Hawaiian.
I gave away too many ECSD x C99 cuts so will only make F2s of that variety this year.

Figured I'd add those bud shot of OD99 #1.
I'm not positive how far along she is as I didn't write down the date I noticed her flowering. Guessing about 3-4 weeks.

Aromas from the mothers:

Pineapple, dirty socks, much complexity I can't define... OD99 #1 a few weeks in flower...

Pineapple funk... OD99 #2 a couple weeks in flower...

Burnt rubber and Rob Zombie at Stars in Salem Oregon before a show... BB Sat x Af/HI dried & cured.

OD99 #1 hanging on to its aromas mentioned above w the pi.apple fading to the rear w the socks coming forward.

OD99 #2 has ripened to peaches...
Never had that before so this ladys gotta stick around for a couple more runs.

Both have been nailed to make F2s as well as Original Diesel/C99 x ECSD/C99 & Chem D IBL.

As it looks now, seeds will be limited but the buds are pretty thick so may be more buried than I can see.

OD99 #1 in her OD plot has buds about as big around as a beer cozy and about as tall as a 12oz can... Short fat buds!!!

OD99 #2 seems like it may be faster to finish. It appears the buds are beginning to swell... I hope not yet... Id like a few more weeks on these gals.

Gotta get my pics uploaded.

Nice breeding project you got going MJP.
I eye balled those ODxC99 beans at the ZON a few years back but they sold out before I pulled the trigger. TSS had a few different strains that I was looking at. Don't have any personal experience with their gear though. C99 has been a fav of mine since I grew out my first pack from the BG. In my opinion, Cindy really shows her true worth in out crosses. She is a great breeding tool no doubt. Looking forward to watching this show finishing up. It's already got me thinking about popping some of these old C99 x's I'm holding. :tiphat:
