Hey Everyone

In this room I have both plants growing in compost, and plants growing in hydro - coir.

The hydro plants are in B'Cuzz coco coir, being fed hydroTops nutrients, and the organic plants are in atami kilo-mix, and are being fed Bio Bizz nutrients.

We'll start with the Critical Mass - One of my favourites. 49 Days 12/12.
In these two shots, you can see both of the organic CM's, and my hydro ESBx in the centre. This is my first run using this compost, so would expect a significant improvement the next time round. :yummy:

And now the Hydro ESBx. :yummy:

These aren't the best of pics, but I'm no longer able to move her out for photo shoots, so they'll have to do.

Hey verge:

they look great. I was thinking of doing part of my crop in hydro and part in organic just so that I learn how to grow with both methods as well. How is it working out for you so far? I mean do you find one way is easier to maintain or has considerably better growth than one? I just may start both setups at the same time just to do a controlled test for myself. Much growth and fruitage with your crops verge.

Hey MsHerbalivation

Thanks Buddy. :joint:

Ermm, I dunno tbh mate. Are you a first time grower? If so, I would stick to the one method. I'm a hydro grower at heart, but I've just given this compost and pots a go to see what, if anything i'm missing out on. Between you and me, it certainly aint yield. :biglaugh: This is my first time with compost and pots, although I have hand watered coir (pasisve hydro) in the past.

In terms of which is best, there is no way I could answer that, its about what is right for you, what you consider important, and most of all, what works well for you!
Firstly, I would try and decide on a method and stick to it, dont go chopping and changing between crops, grow using this method until you feel you can do no better, then you have, shall we say... conquered that method!

Remember, the first few runs, your learning how to grow! and what your plants want! It is a lot to take in. Trying a side by side organic vs hydro expirement the first time round, could quit easily become problematic.

Just Read, Read, and Read a bit more!

Good Luck!

she looks good enough to toke....

One of the reasons I would have organic and hydro at the same time is I have seeds germinating. I'm waiting for the seedlings to pop. If those pop before I get my hydro set up setup then those are going into organic. I have clones and seeds on the way shortly and those will most definately be going into the hydro set up as I should have it setup by the time they arrive! I definately appreciate the words of wisdom. I love the fact everyone here is so friendly and willing to share! Gotta love those pics...

The CM is a massive gal there! But I keep looking at that SuperSkunk x Blueberry, and my taste buds just get me daydreaming. Very Nice work vrg! How is the potency of the CM? I've heard a few different versions, and I know phenos make all the difference, but have been hangin on to a pack for sometime now.

hey flowerman
thanks for the kind words my friend.

the CritMass is a wonderfull plant! the pheno I have certainly packs a punch. In hydro she will grow huge buds! there are some pics in my gallery, you might have seen them already. The cured buds are real stinkers!!! Sweet skunky smell, I love it! A keeper for me. Definatly worth splitting! If not, you can always sling 'em my way, see if i can find a better one. lol
I will take a pic of some cured buds.

its my first time growing out the ssxbb, so we'll have to wait and see how she cures. I am expecting some delicious flavours from her! she absolutly stinks! her smell is overpowering everything in here, and smacks you in the face as you open the gr door! :joint:

here's a better picture, from when I could move her, of the esbx pictured earlier, I like this pic. -35 Days 12/12.
