Organic White Skunk Soilless

hello organic soil community!!! this time around i've decided to do white skunk in a soilless mix. if any of you have seen my thread at the coco forum, i had 2 female white skunks and due to unusual circumstances, they were chopped. safety was an issue and i feel that safety is #1 over being someone else's bitch . i have 3 females (i accidentally killed 2 females ) and one unsexed. they have been under 12/12 from seed and i never kept track of exact days, but i know what to look for in the end. two weeks ago they showed signs of sex and need somewhere between 45-55 days. i have heard many variations of flowering time, so i kept it broad.

so far, i've been feeding them a mild dosage of fox farm big bloom organic fert. the soil mix is 2 parts perlite, 2 parts peat moss, 1 part coco, and topdressed with worm castings. will my ph be ok with this mix or should i have added some dolomite lime?


this is my current setup, same as before, and i will need to make some modifications and repairs. right now the tubs are not sitting flush and the unit is not sealed off good enough to get adequate ventilation. i will be getting some weather stripping and fixing that soon.








this is my first time with lst'ing and it seems to go well with my fluoro setup. i have read many threads on how to do this, but i am unsure if i tied correctly to get even tops. one thing i notice with 12/12 from seed is that they don't get too big. i hope that it is possible to achieve .2 g+/w. lifeless grows with only 168w of fluoros and can yield 4oz's. as soon as i get more money scrounged up, i am going to purchase more 42w's so that i am back at 252w.

i've been smoking on some of the premature bud that i harvested off the chopped plants. they were about halfway before finishing and i yielded about an 1/8th. i hope to go over 2oz's with 252w of fluoro, but who knows??? do you guys think that these 12/12 plants will get much bigger? i hope i can get all the tops to be somewhat even to improve bushiness. thanks for checking out my thread !!!

p.s. does anyone know if any of those annaC or mist of destruction strains are any good??? i was thinking about annaC's biko, boggy haze x mind boggle F2, & mind boggle x NYCD along with m.o.d.'s godberry.

Looking good. One thing though, you might need more wats per square foot to flower with besides floros. Pick up a 150 watt HPS at Lowes. They are only about 75.00. It will help your yield greatly.

Annac and MOD are both good. I like MODs godberry the best out of your selection.

looks like your on the right track with the lst'ing , just remember to veg them out so the lower budsites can develop more before flower. Very interested in the godberry

what it do kittycrack? i'm not sure if you are aware, but some shit went down. before shit happened, i was experimenting with my last 8 ws beans doing 12/12 from seed to see what it was like. then, the confirmed females were going to go outside, but now they are staying inside for good because the plants before got chopped prior to my knowledge. i figured that with 12/12 from seed, they would be small unless i had a hid. there is still about 1.5 months left, so i hope they bulk up a lot more. nice to hear from you kid, you should hit me up sometime. peace....

that's pretty funny guy ! do you know anything about doing lst for 12/12 from seed? it seems like the budsites don't get a chance to get big and i think i tied them down in the wrong spots. the the tops already got nuggs going on and the new growth won't get a chance to really catch up as much, but this is the first attempt at lst. these earthworm castings i bought for $1 have some sort of grass sprouts in them. i figured that if i layer with a 1" of coco, it would shred those little fungus gnat larvae. right now i have typical, dente, and akai ryu venus flytraps coming in the mail in order to get rid of those stupid fungus gnats ! even though godberry (godbud x bubbleberry) is an untested variety, i am leaning heavily towards godberry . i will also probably get romulan or mikado from fed and schnazzleberry #2 if possible. will update with pics tonight.

i do not think that lst would be appropriate for 12/12 from seed because the lower sites you are exposing need extra veg time to develop into tops. i believe the idea of 12/12 from seed is so that you can grow strains that are mostly sativa and have a long flowering time, indoors within a shorter time frame and keep them shorter than mature sativas. as far as the nats, they will always be there but you can control them with those square sticky fly pads. the godberry cought my eye too and cant beat that price. I havent heard any bad things about mikado, except for that its not the same as the famed pre 98-99? version. hope this helps

yeah i figured it probably wasn't the most appropriate for lst, but i could see a sog doing really well with that method. the only thing with 12/12 from seed is that instead of having clones, each individual plant shows flowers either really early or really late. then it is hard to use cfls because some tops might be higher than others and cfls lose penetration after more than a few inches away. you got any other strains to recommend getting?

alright, i'm back and i'm hungry for weed . i've noticed a few deficiencies, but i don't have the proper treatment to change that atm. dolomite lime would have been nice... next run for sure . running full strength nutes right now of big bloom, 4T/gal. i purchased worm castings for $1 a few weeks ago, and there are sprouts growing in them. is this ok to use? came across a post that said lst'ing in flower would add 2 additional weeks to the flowering time. any one concur?


i came across a thread by master thai about organic bug juice. his recipe called for 3 habeneros, 3-6 cloves garlic, 3 cups water, 3/4 tsp dish soap. blend it all together and let sit for 24 hours so bubbles subside. strain and apply via spray bottle. this outta show those fungus gnats who's boss of the crop .


i chose to scale it down 3x because i only have 3 plants and blended it all at once.


this is what it looked like after i blended it. beware, it smells very strong . don't get that stuff in your eyes... i will get a picture of it after it sits overnight.

this particular indica pheno is my favorite because i lst'ed this one better than the rest of them.


closeup of the indica pheno. the previous indica pheno had those pinkish pistils that this one doesn't seem to have. when i smell it up close, it smells very sweet, almost like a sort of candy.

went to menards today and picked up a stanley blower. for $40, you cannot beat this blower. on the lowest setting (1), i cannot hear it over my other fan. i HIGHLY recommend anyone who is worried about stealth to purchase one of these blowers because it doesn't sound like a jet engine. after i get some ducting and put it on, the blower may make louder noise due to restrictions, but we will see.


the best multi-purpose blower for your buck. it has 2 intakes, one on the motor side and one on the other side. you can run an intake duct from the open side to pull in air and the motor side intake sucks out warm, stale air in the grow room.


here is that organic bug juice that has been sitting for 24 hours. i used a coffee filter to catch the large particles because i don't have a mesh screen and discarded the excess bug juice. then i put it in the sprayer and applied to topsoil and foliage. those fungus gnat bastards won't last a chance against a habenero.

after i shipped my order to seedbay, i got a confirmation a week later saying it is being shipped out, and received it 12 days after payment sent!!! they rule !!! this time when ordering seeds in general, i politely requested 'uberstealth' and it came pretty well hidden. last time i got em' in a babushka-like envelope thing where each envelope has more and more until you reach the sweet surprise... this time they just stapled two pieces of paper together and put the seeds in the middle with the protective plastic thing.





after trying to save my indica pheno from going hermie by ripping of some bananas i saw a while back, they really became a problem because it selfed itself, but somehow did not affect the two sativa phenos. managed to get a few bowls off it . dried in dark room for 3 days, sweated in paper bags for 4 days, and got impatient and started smoking now!!! the other 2 sativa phenos got about a week or so left until chop. flushing will commence after final feeding for 7 days.

thanks for stopping by chrones! i have not seen any visitors in many days... harvest day for one of my plants is coming up. i will get pics up when i chop it. both of them have been flushed for a little over a week. the other will get chopped when it looks done. i just got my SOL adventurously mixed pack put between paper towels and kept in a humidity dome around 80 F. this should be some interesting stuff to watch once i get my hydrohut mini and a HID in there. love to all.

finally chopped the ladies last night. i didn't want couchlock weed, so i cut them with about 10-15% amber trics. i will get pics up after dry and sweat before jars. smells so good, like sweet citrus. mmmmmm. got a SOL adventurously mixed pack that just germed with 9/10 rate. one didn't pop so i saved it. put them in keg cups 2 parts coco, 2 parts perlite, 1 part castings.

just thought i would like to add some closure to this thread. i lost track of how many days i let them go, over 50 for sure. there were a decent amount of amber trichs, so i chopped one of them that i wasn't going to save and i saved my favorite one. unfortunately, the cfl i was trying to reveg it with fell on it and burnt it extra crispy kfc style.







total yield was 4.0 grams. this was my first time successfully completing a grow start to finish. i got my SOL pack up and running, but they don't look too hot right now.
