Hey all I was going to use Botanicare's Cal-Mag but it isn't organic so i decided not. Instead i found dolomite lime for calcium and magnesium but the Cal-Mag also has iron which is lacking in my solution. So what is a good organic source for iron?
Down to Earth New Jersey Greensand
Made from a natural deposit of marine origin found in New Jersey, this potash and iron rich (20.57%) natural fertilizer helps hold moisture and loosens compacted soils.
I read somewhere also that blackstrap molasses is a good source is nutrients/minerals including iron, so I will probably use both Molasses and Greensand
both molasses and kelp meal...yes kelp meal, are excellent and fast acting sources of Fe as well as a ton of other stuff good for your girls.
I see greesand being listed as an ammendment all the time and in farming it is but in MJ growing it is relatively useless it is soooo slow release, it's more of a soil conditions which balances out a clay based soil.
