Hello everyone, Please post here to keep this at the top. This thread is like our "new member welcome board". Introduce yourself please.

I would like to direct you to our "Organic Fanatic" thread. It is found here in Organic Soil to help all the new growers and to find useful information on growing your favorite plant. If you are an experienced grower and would like to add some info please do,It is actually a work in progress but there is already alot of useful information there. Please feel free to read and ask questions if you do not understand everything as some of the information is quite lengthy. I believe there will be "revised version in the works but for now good reading and good growing.

Welcome aboard,Von

ill introduce myself:

hi folks, i am irie

i have been growing organic outdoors for 10 years now (shit! i didnt realize TEN!) and i have been growing organic indoors for about 1 1/2 years, and chemi indoor for 3 years before that. i switched to organic indoor because (A) i live on on organic farm now and (B) i kept killing my plants with chemi's

i started with bio-bizz with good results, but theres no hydro store where i live and the ingredients on the bottle were just kelp and molasses. then i discovered CW and 3LB and i havent looked back since. i have been making compost teas and getting good yeilds of tasty, potent, good burning herb that is all supplied to a med-user club.

pleasure to meet you

irie-i

Hello irie-i, thanks for the intro. no one seems to stop by. I had done this to direct people to the information we are putting together since our moderator has not been around and we need some stickys to consolidate our information on organics here. Your input would be very helpful. Thanks

Hi there. frater_indo here. I'm on my first all organic grow right now and have been trying keep up with the Organic Fanatic thread. :lurk:

I've grown semi-organic my first 2 crops, and after comparing my smoke with my buddie's all organic crop, I'm sold 100% organic all the way.

Thanks to all those people who have taken the time to present the info so that others can learn to grow better. :kissass: :joint:

Hello everyone. I'm new here, I've lurked around Overgrow and now icmag for a few years now. Reading and Keeping to myself until recently.

I started growing outdoor with Miracle grow 20-20-20 and 10-52-10 about 8 years ago. After growing in the same spots outdoor for 3 years using Miracle grow, I was getting smaller and unhealthy looking plants. Someone told me to check out the Hydroponic shop and get some 2 part Hydroponic nutrients which I did. This seemed to improve my results, so I grew with expensive "DNF" hydroponic nutes outdoor for another couple years.

About 3 years ago, I bought my first 430watt Sodium arc bulb and started growing indoor with the same DNF hydroponic nutrients. Results seemed to be good, but I could never re-use my soil. during this time maybe a year of indoor growing, I saw the Advanced Nutrients Advertisements "everyone can probably guess where" and went out and spent $300 on AN nutes. I ended up with about the same yields and growth rates as DNF 2 part, but I was noticing what seemed to be Phosphorus deficiencies. And $300 for a couple grows for the same results as DNF for $40 a grow was complete insanity! Also dumping $40 or $50 worth of potting mix per grow was/is not economical in my opinion.

So here I am in the Organic Soil forum diving head first into Organic techniques. I hope I don't bug everyone to much with my newbie questions about organics.

My trial organic run seems to be doing good this round after a bumpy start burning my plants with Indonesian bat guano. I am already convinced Organics is the only way to grow.

thanks for all the help so far and thanks in advance for the future.

take care everyone. And smoke a fat one :joint:

High! I'm a new grower and don't have anything to add to the organic discussion other than I'm a loyal follower of the organic forums. I have read every thread in the organic section (some more than 3 times) and enjoy learning about the joy and benefits of raisin' reefer organically.

Many thanks to the contributors of this section. Please keep on doin' what you're doin'! It's great!!! Can't get enough of it.

I am Farmer Joe! I use organics because I find them easier than chemical ferts, better for the environment, and I feel they are better for me.

And you are correct there Farmer Joe. Welcome to Organic Soils. Hope to see you around often. And I try and eat as much organic produce and meats as I can. I'm fortunate enough to live in an area that has alot of organic produce on hand.

Organics is Natures way period!

Organics is Natures way period!

Hi All, been using organics since 1974, Jamaican/Mexican bat guano, fish meal,
worm castings,blood meal,bone meal,soft rock phosphate,greensand,rock dust
kelp meal, feather meal.....all these are dry ingredients to mix into the soil as
your base soil.....then after a month or so then add your liquid ferts, only when the plant shows signs of being yellowish or whatever etc....
The best ferts are fish emulsion + Maxicrop seaweed mixed together + 1 tsp
Meta-K(Earth Juice)in 1 gal water (PH-6.8)this is for veg cycle, for flowering
I mix Jam bat+Wormcastings+seaweed+molasses and brew a soup for a couple of days with an air pump in a gal jug....and sometimes I'll put the veg cycle ferts on a flowering plant when it shows a little yellow in the leaves, also
the blooms are larger when there are healthy leaves towards the finish of
flowering, and these are beefy blooms, not leafy blooms LOL!!! People say...
"that's the BEST I ever had!!!" Please do yourself, and all you know a favor &
GROW ORGANIC!!!! ALSO FORGOT THE MOST IMPORTANT Enzymes+Microbes
I use Actinovate+ Nitron...very good stuff, also when you are feeding your
soil, not your plant....Remember you are feeding your SOIL -- NOT the PLANT
if the soil is sweet then the plant will respond to it,and we as farmers have to
WATCH for symptoms, then fix the problem....also Miricle Grow feeds plants &
not the SOIL...think about that, next time you puff a nasty harsh bud!!!
Hope this helps someone out there....PEACE!

this is RomulanXIsland Sweet Skunk X Shiva (4 Wks flowering today)!!!
