Organic Power Cloning

I bought a power cloner a few months back and have used it with RO water and power cloner rooting hormone(26 bucks a pint!) and all it does is condition them. After 10-12 days I would have to pull them out and stick them in soil where they would take another week to root. Since cloning is the only part of my program that is not 100% organic I saw no reason I should'nt try to go hydrorganic. Before I used vita grow with 100% success, Earth Juice makes a rooting hormone and it sucks as do all their products, and I have not seen another organic rooting hormone on the market. Since I have heard of people using bubble cloners with no hormones (rollanteroy?) I decided to try it out. I poured about 3 gallons of warm water in my power cloner with 2 quarts of hydrogen peroxide and let it run for about 10 minutes to get it ready. I rinsed it out when I was done and poured 5 gallons of Earth2o mountain spring water in, along with a about a teaspoon each Hygrozyme, Liquid Karma, Root Juice(30% humic acid), and pharmaceutical grade pure fulvic acid which is a fine white powder.Every clone had thick, healthy, white roots in 8 days and it only took about 50 cents worth of high quality organic food and some healthy spring water instead of 13 dollars worth of crappy chemicals and some sterile lifeless water. I will post pics as soon as my browse button decides to work and I can upload. Peace out homies

yeah I used LK which i think has hormones but I was refering to that particular synthetic hormone which is the universal base for pretty much all cloning solutions. And like I said I got the idea from a rolanteroy thread where he said all his clones rooted in a bubble cloner with nothing but water.

Yeah plain water will do but a few drops of LK won't do any harm.
I built a bubble cloner once, it worked fine, nice work and thanks for sharing.

You can buy little tea bags of earthworm castings, so that they won't get stuck in the aero system. Of course, you could always make your own with some cheesecloth or pantyhose.

I've also found that a drop or two of cold pressed kelp always helps things out.

ewc teabags are a great idea. I used to have a 2 part mhychorrizial inocculant called Earth Ambrosia and Earth Nectar but I cannot find it anymore I would like to try something like that too. Thanks for checking it out grizz, I have'nt monitored Ph or temps since I started using spring water. The temperature in my room usually stays 75-80 but it does get hot in the summer since I don't use ac. Thanks for the thumbs up suby, your soil mixes are the bomb. I'm remixing about 40 gallons of happy frog right now with some bat gauno, seabird gauno, fish bone meal, humic acid ore, greensand, ewc, oyster shell, bio fish, and root zone mychorrizae all Down To Earth products. I think I need some compost and dolomite lime to round things out. Here is a picture of my organic morrocan hashplant at 49 days.

ooooh webehi tell me more about that pharmaceutical grade fulvic powder!!!!

Spring water is good and you can make it even better if you are willing to spend 2 bucks on a bottle of "Sanfaustino" brand mineral water (pH 5.9, which lowers the spring water pH, and provides Mg and Ca)....Sanfaustino is also great for foliar feeding since it is carbonated and infused with CO2...(no i do not work for the Sanfaustino company LOL.....i just know it is a great plant tonic!!!)

webehi, did you like that EA/AN product? i bought it and it didn't seem to have any effects, but i have heard other good things about it so maybe i just used it wrong....

Here's a good mycorrhizal innoculant site, you will love it, especially the mycorrhizal root dip:

Happy gardening!!! I love your bushes!!!! :woohoo:

:ying: kind regards from guineapig :ying:

Rooting fast is really important to prevent root rot or stem rot . Most of the time when it takes longer to root than 8 days ,som erot will be present and will keep influencing groth for the rest of the plants life .
It is possible to root clones in 3 days ! to do that you have to put as much light on them as they can take and place them in moving moist air that refreshes all the time. Providing more light energy means faster rooting .

Hi guineau pig. thanks for all the positive feedback. I don't really know if the EA/EN made a big difference and I was using it before I found out about Down To Earth Root Zone which works great. I get the U.S.P. grade fulvic acid from Oregon Rainforest Company, the producer is Oregon Herbalist and there is a net address oregonherbalist.blogspot.com you might find more info there. I will post a pic as soon as I can get past the browse button.

I agree that there is no gel or hormone powder needed for cloning , other factors are far more important for rooting clones fast. Get them to root fast is important ,because the longer they come to a stop the worst they will preform .

YOu can do it with a weak nutrient solution, honnig, willow water.

but the one I really want to use is Barley seeds since the contain alot of rooting hormone, I have read that you can cut them i half and then with a string put the cut side of the barley on the cut side of the cutting. But i think that just making a tee with the barley or just the grounde flower from barley would do the job.

i use jiffy pellets and water and get roots in 7 days...i have been thinking about getting a ez cloner but it will take just as long to get roots...its all about proper conditions to make a cut root..granted some are harder to root than others...peace

Indole Butric Acid the most commonly used rooting hormone comes from Willow trees and is in my mind therefore organic. But if youd like to take the man made part out of the equation all together simply cut 8-10 shoots from a willow tree the new young tips.Soak them in water for like a week. Then simply pull out the twigs strain the liquid and voila the most organic and powerful hippie hormone youll ever get.You can simply soak a cut end in it for ten minutes or so plunk it in the dirt and she will root not the fastest or the best but she will root.Id imagine it would rock the casbar in a clone machine, hope this helps!!

Colchicine also comes from a plant , but it is poisonous . Can you call that organic ?

but i rather start with these kind of plants in stead of clones anyway
