Hey Dr. D, I keep mine between 6.0 to 6.5 seems to work well for me.

Everything that goes into my soil is roughly 6.5 ph.
MJ is an acid loving plant, but dont go too low or you lockout a bunch of important nutes and micronutes.

I am trying to be between 6.5 - 6.8 it's working for me.
I found that some plants don't do so well at 6.2 ... not sure but it's look like that to me ...

My last grow was quite a while ago, but I dialed down to 6.2 at every watering.

Here are some pics of that grow: http://valk.overgrow.com

I never had any PH problems although I did have a crop prior in which the strain seemed a little more sensitive to the PH, so I kept it around 6.0. That grow was crappy badseed, so I'm not sure if there was a real connection or not...

Yeah...

Yeah...

The low-mid 6's are good for soil-(less) like the guys said earlier.

I usually end up with readings around 6.6-6.7 because i have really high ph water that i try and let sit for days before use. Its still a bit high for my liking but im being lazy. Had a hard week and forgot to fill up waterbottles on time...

6.1-6.6 ph in dirt or soiless mix but in hydro the ph is lower.

I find that 6.0 can be a bit too acidic for some seedlings so closer to neutral seems safer at first like 6.5 but to tell you the truth I never use a meter anymore. I use my method and watch my plants and I just know when they need adjustment which I do with my feeds or just neutral water. Meters are often inaccurate so make sure you always have the same conditions when you use them as they are often thrown off my moisture content affecting the readings. At least with the cheap ones I have used this was the case. BOG :)

in soil 6-7 one of the +s of soil is it acts like a big buffer also at this range nothing gets lock out, its when you start pushing nutes. and the salts start building up the ph will drop locking things out fast, this is why I from time to time ckeck the run off ph (with a clean catch pan that is... ) I diffently like to keep it on the lower side though, it seems with organics pbp, pbo, fox farm big bloom ect... the ph drifts up in my irragation rez espc. after it's bubbled a day or two ?
