Organic homemade pesticides

I wasn't quite sure where to post this thread. Seeing as I'm growing in soil I thought I'd come here.

I'm into flowering now and starting to think about the health and safety of my girls.

I've heard that garlic steeped water woeks well in vegetable gardens. Is gaelic okay to use with my cannabis? Will I have any taste effects on my buds? Same question for peppers and onions stew.
