Organic Growshow

My setup is two 150 watt hps diy cooltubes made using coleman lantern globes and 4" ducting. The fan is a 265 dayton pole blower. The air is sucked from another room and comes into the closet and cools the lights and then is exhausted into the crawlspace above the ceiling.



Last round i finished 4 c99 and 1 trainwreck using gh 3 part and koolbloom and other chemical nutes. It was a good harvest at around 3-4 ounces. Luckily i was able to save three clones of the tw and they are a good yeilding pheno. Also i've popped 5 supposed og kush and 3 floater seeds. This time around i've decided to go organic. Soil is a equal mixture of black gold peat/perlite with about 10% earthworm castings and 10 % bat/seadbird gauno and the last 10% is trace mineral elements,granulated charcoal, and washed sand.For the first 2-3 weeks the plants will feed off the nutrients in the soil, then once switched to flowering they will be fed either budswell or bio-bizz aswell as a guano tea every 1-2 weeks.



Pictures are a day old and i've sinced rehung the lights and moved things around. I've also been super cropping these moms which some of you might notice in the pictures.

Your doing what I want to do soon, go all organic, but it takes a bit to switch to it completely. What does the charcoal do in the soil?

I know how to use it to purge substances of adulterants, but Ive forgotten what it does for cannabis.

I like your cool tube set up, my county has a lower limit on what I can have in my medical garden, I wish I could pop that many seeds, Id have phenos and breeding programs and Id be happy.

I havent heard of that potting soil your using, black gold? Report on its effects, cuase next soil I planned on getting was ffof, but you sound like you mixed your own. Im a bit curious as to how close I can get to pro organic soil by mixing my own.

My bird and I will keep an eye on your grow, it looks promising, you have any pics of your c-99 buds?

My mixture came straight from a book i read called cultivating exceptional cannabis. 70% of the mixture contains half peat or spaghnum moss and the other half perlite. I just picked up black gold cause its what my local nursery had. Last grow i did a soiless medium with just 50%blackgold peatmoss/perlite and i was impressed with the harvest in the end. I dont have any photos of the c99 but it was very branchy and the smoke was a good head high. but the trainwreck pheno was more dense and the smoke gave me a great body high which is what im looking for.

oh i forgot i got a bagseed from some purp buds that was some of the dankest i've smoked and its just now comming out of the soil in the black container in the back.

Just a little update. Things have changed in the closet, the tw moms went bye bye and in came the soil bed, i also installed a oscilating fan to blow on the plants.



On the left we have 6 trainwreck clones all about 5 inches tall and in the middle is the 5 supposed og kush and lastly is the floaters on the right.

Timer was switched to 12/12 today so its flowering day 1.
Right now my main concern is constructing a carbon filter for these girls. I have a few designs in mind ill post pics when i get around to it.
