Organic grow + Floranova bloom = no good????

My plants have been getting only organic food from the soil, which is pro mix with castings, blood/bone meal, kelp, FF POM dry ferts and guano. Plus a few plants with Moonshine man mix. I was wondering if adding Floranova would be going overboard? They are almost halfway through flower and are N deficient, so I would be throwing a little grow nute in also( bio grow), as well as L. karma. They are in 18 gal tubs outdoors, strain pure power plant which is a heavy feeder.

If you are 1/2 way through flower it probably won't hurt especially as you seem to be deficient. I've used Hydro Nutes as a supplement in soil/soiless grows before with no problems. You may want to try 1/2 strength with the first watering and see how your plants respond. Just don't go overboard as it is better to under feed than over feed.

One thing though, Flora Nova from what I recall is not organic and therefore would render your grow "non-organic" if you were to use it. If I had plants that were deficient and all didn't have any organic nutes available I wouldn't hesitate to use non-organic to get the plants healthy again. I guess it really depends on how much a purist you are......I guess makes me impure doesn't it? :D

You know Im not an organic nazi by any means, even though I would rather keep it pure. I tried feeding them with tea, but it was just such a pain to brew like 6 buckets for 2 days and then haul it out into the woods. I figured I would just get some bottled stuff to make life easier, maybe I should have gone with PBP or something but the guy at the shop said that the floranova wouldnt damage my soil chemistry because it is mostly organic. I will just keep it light and see how it goes. I was thinking of adding some kabloom later on, but we will see.

Yesterday i went to a university garden reasearch center that sells organic fertilizers

They gave us a two hour tour. Showing many different tomato plants grown with different fertilizers. Very interesting results. It was easy to choose the best which cost under 15 dollars for a two year supply. It rocks

The more popular organic fertilizers talked about in MJ forums made the tomato taste down right awful. The plant gowth was very similar in most. But was lacking compared side by side with some of the high priced products.

Go figure

During the lecture Natural Nitrate of Soda was one of the topics

Since you have castings in your soil mix, and at this phase in your cycle. Natural Nitrate of Soda.

Blood meal soaked in water then added was also done

Yea youve got to watch out for those organic nazis. They wont even use lighters, just a magnifying glass and the sun. No really, I would like to know just how 'organic' floranova is. I mean its in the organic section of my grow shop, but I dont know.

Sweet brunette Im curious as to which "popular organic fertilizers talked about in MJ forums" made the tomatoes taste like shit? Ive been thinking switching from bottles to homemade teas and such. Ive kind of done that with this outdoor grow, but its just not practicle for me to brew 35 gal of tea and drag it into the woods. But maybe for an indoor run in the future I would like to go all the way with tea. Only with the teas consent of course.

i used fn before too. Its a thicky sludgy shit seems organic. I think it said something from rock phosphates i dont know im backed and too tired to look for the bottle. I used the two together but not for long. oh well.
