Organic Afgooey from CO.

First smoke report here. This organic Afgooey sample is from Denver. Sorry about the "marco" pics. I don't really have the ability to macro, but I use a magnifying glass. Even though those ones are blurry, it'll give you an idea of trich coverage. The large chunk in the middle pic weighed slightly over an ounce.

Visual Appeal 9

2. Visible Trichomes: Yes

3. Use an X to indicate the colors that are present in the trichome
heads under magnification or list the percentages of each color for
a more precise report.

Clear: 30%
Cloudy: 60%
Amber: 10%
Dark:

4. Mark with X the colors that are present in the buds or for a more
detailed color analysis rate presence on a scale 1-9 light-dark.
Brown:X
Green: X
Gold:
Blue:
Grey:
White:X
Red:
Rust:X
Orange:
Purple:
Black:
yellow:.

5. Bud density: 5
Rate the bud density from 1-10 airy-dense. For samples that are
not in their natural state leave this field blank.

Comment: This is exactly how I like my herb. Fluffier enough to have great bag appeal and perfectly dense without being rock hard. Very sticky.

6. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the aroma of freshly broken bud where a one indicates a
subtle presence and 9 indicates a pronounced presence.

Ammonia [ ] Earthy [ 1] Licorice [ ] Peach [ ]
Berry [2 ] Floral [] Mango [ ] Pepper []
Blueberry [ ] Fruit [ ] Meat [ ] Petroleum/Fuel [2 ]
Bubblegum [ ] Grape [ ] Melon [ ] Pine-sol [5 ]
Cedar [ ] Grapefruit[ ] Menthol [ ] Pineapple [ ]
Cherry [ ] Grass/Hay [ ] Mint [ ] Rotten [ ]
Chocolate [ ] Hash [] Mold [ ] Skunk [ ]
Citrus [ ] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [] Spice []
Coconut [ ] Leather [ ] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry[ ]
Coffee [ ] Lemon [5 ] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ]

7. Aroma: 8

Rate the aroma from 1-10 repulsive-delightful. Use freshly crumbled
bud for best results.
comment:

I think this is a pretty subjective question, but in any case I enjoyed the smell. The reason I gave it an 8 was b/c I liked the smell better before it was broken up. It had a more fruity essence to the petrol/lemon tone. That diminished when broken. Still, it stinks up any room, even in a jar.

8. Seed content:

None

THE SMOKE TEST
============================== ====================

Address these questions while smoking.

1. Please use a clean instrument for the evaluation. Enter information
below that will identify the instrument as follows:

Water pipe (enter bong, hooka, bubbler etc):
Vaporizer (enter the brand name): Vapir mini for a little
Pipe (size-type, ie medium-glass): Clean, glass spoon pipe for the majority
Joint (enter brand of papers):
Other (specify):

2. Use numbers 1-9 on descriptors that apply to the taste where a one indicates a subtle presence and a
nine indicates a very pronounced presence.

Ammonia [ ] Earthy [2 ] Licorice [ ]
Berry [ ] Floral [ ] Mango [ ] Pepper []
Blueberry [ ] Fruit [ ] Meat [ ] Petroleum [1]
Bubblegum [ ] Grape [ ] Melon [ ] Pine [ ]
Cedar [ ] Grapefruit[ ] Menthol [ ] Pineapple [ ]
Cherry [ ] Grass/Hay [ ] Mint [ ] Rotten [ ]
Chocolate [ ] Hash [] Mold [ ] Skunk [ ]
Citrus [ ] Iron/Rust [ ] Musk [] Spice [1]
Coconut [ ] Leather [ ] Nutmeg [ ] Strawberry[ ]
Coffee [2 ] Lemon [ 1] Orange [ ] Vanilla [ ]

3. Taste: 5
Rate your impression of the taste from 1-10 unpleasant-delicious.

Comment: For such strong smelling bud I expected more flavor. It has a light, earthy flavor with a slight musk/hash undertone, but that is only ever so slight. As I expected, the vaporizer brought out a bit more flavor, but I still liked the pipe better.

4. State of dryness: 4

Rate the dryness of the bud from 1-10 wet-dry where 5 is ideal.

comment: Just the tiniest bit damper than I would like, but not damp enough to make me even think about it really.

5. smoke ability: 8.5

Rate the smoke ability of the sample from 1-10 harsh-smooth

Comment: Pretty smooth for the most part.

6. Smoke expansion: 4

Rate how the smoke expands in the lungs from 1-10 stable-explodes.

Comment: Expands at the rate where you feel it, but it isn’t uncomfortable.

1. __[ 0.2 grams ]__ Dosage

Enter the number of hits taken to reach desired effects.

Comment: 2-3. I can really only smoke this at the end of the day since the high is pretty narcotic and stoney. I definitely overpacked the bowl the first couple times on this one. It burns in that nice, longer way well cured herb does. After 3 hits, I’m pain-free and relaxed until bed.

2. __[ 2 ]__ Effect onset

Rate how quickly the effect hit from 1-10 immediate-major creeper.

Almost immediate. About 1-2 minutes to feel good effect, another 3-4 for the fullness to set in.

3. __[1.5 ]__ Sativa influence

Rate the sativa influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme.

4. __[8.5 ]__ Indica influence

Rate the indica influence detected from 0-10 none-extreme.

__[7.5 ]__ Potency
Rate the potency of the sample from 0-10 none-devastating.

I think I only rated this 7.5 because the bag I had before this was an 11. (Crystal Chunk)

6. __[ 2 hrs ]__ Duration
Indicate the number of hours the effects lasted.

7. __[ 5 ]__ Tolerance build up
Rate how quickly tolerance builds from 0-10 none-rapid. Leave this
field blank if you have not used this sample repeatedly.

Average

8. Usability

Rate on a scale of 1-9 where a one indicates the worst time of day
to consume this strain and a nine represents the ideal time of day.
Leave field(s) blank if you have not yet formed an opinion.

Morning - wake up [0 ]
Day - work [0 ]
Evening - relax [9 ]
Night - sleep [7 ]

9. __[7 ]__ Overall satisfaction
Rate your overall satisfaction from 1-10 poor-Holy Grail.

I like more of a Sativa influence in my herb than this has.

10. __[?]__ Ability and conditions
comment:

11.Judging from the sample alone do you personally consider this
strain a keeper for long term use?

Yes []
No [X]

Not for me personally during the day, but this is perfect for anyone who needs a really sedating pain relief strain.

12.Rate the noticable effects on a scale of 1-9 mild-severe. Take
care to use the appropriate column for your response. Delete the
existing space when recording your entry to maintain the columns
in alignment. In all cases these casual observations should not
be construed as medical advice.

overview:

This was a great strain for relaxing and pain relief in the evening. I can only speak for myself here, so I would like to see this every so often, but I wouldn’t specifically look for it personally. Again, this was GREAT herb, just not wha I wanted in a bag at the time.

how smooshed is it?

guessing it was in a square container?

I have smoked this cut, it's good medicine, I thought it was way more of a clear high than I expected. I didn't find it sedating at all, maybe I cut sooner. Good report.

Not too smooshed. It was actually handed over by the grower and in a vacuum sealed bag. It was only in the bag a few hours though and it was needed at the time. Last of the harvest, so it would make sense that it was more sedate.

If you'll notice in the report though, I rated it highest as best used in the evening, not night. It can make me sedate without putting me out, but chiefing this all day will cash me out early.

It would be perfect to have on hand if you have a great daytime herb IMO.

Thanks for looking!:smokey:

Nice report Chem, love Afgooey.
I always thought of the high more sativa influenced.
Anyways thank you for the report!
