Oregon Utilities

How can I figure out a fair compensation for Utilities costs of growing medical marijuana. Can that include a mortgage payment? I am wondering what is legal and what cost per ounce can be paid without a profit? I called the state and they referred me to my attorney and said it is very vague.

You can be rememburst for electric, soil, water and most any thing but labor. Most people don't charge rent but some do. It's really up to you and the patient to work out.

YMMV == Your Mileage* May Vary (basically, different folks may get different results)

Mileage* is a term normally related to "miles driven per gallon of fuel consumed", which is based upon an archaic Imperial/English measurement standard. Today, that would be "kilometers driven per liter of fuel consumed", at least everywhere except North America (Canada & USA). Y(KPL)MV just sounds so ... unnecessarily complicated. :tiphat:

I believe that in Oregon you are allowed to accept "donations" - if you actually come up with fees you might be crossing a legal line.

on a donation basis only you can be reimburse for your growing expenses gas, rent for garden space, food etc etc just not your labor I know these laws I help run portland medical cannabis club be careful never sell only accept donations you dont have to accept a lower donation than you want it is your meds. Most patients receive at least an ounce a month for absoultley free. hope this helps if you want look us up and stop by with a sample of what you do we can talk from there

Now I need to learn more, people actually donate an ounce per month? What would an average donation be for 4 ounces per month? I use a vaporizer and consume much more than I did when I smoked it. I don't get bronchitis anymore. I used to get it a lot. I am new to this state and don't want to break any laws. Can I get prescribed pain narcotics at the same clinics that write for MM? I have a long broken back history and need both.

whats so fucked up about oregon laws

The ambiguity of what is legally considered 'out of pocket expenses' and the problem comes about on the stupid method for a patient to hook up with a grower. A grower can produce for their own needs (duh!) and up to 3 other patients.

The devil is in the details. Let's say that Grower John decides to help out another patient and now the patient's new paperwork has your name and address as the grower. Hmmm...........

Next up is when the patient passes away and the tweaked-out nephew finds the paperwork with the grower's name and address.

I'll pass.

You are best to grow your own here. When others grow I have heard deals of They get all of the product/get to determine what extra is and where it goes to the far end where they pay as much or more then Blackmarket price of anything.
The middle ground inside seems to be 2/oz a month for grow rights and more avalable for lowered prices.
Outside most time you get a one time drop of 24oz and the rest is up to them,
As far as clubs go they really are a recent thing and operate in a gray area of the law and I am surprised there has been no busts yet.

The way it was explained to me is that the pt "owns" the plants you are growing for them. They can come and get them and change growers any time they want. Maybe that's incorrect but to the best of my knowledge nothing in the law has changed.
