Ordering seeds from the U.S

there goes edro

With the attacks at the Boston Marathon the other day was just wondering if anyone paranoid about ordering seeds to the U.S due to the increased security and more probable chance of the order not making it? Should I just wait awhile or just keep ordering like business as usual?

IMO ordering seeds is still the least risky part of growing. Nothing will change because of current events.

With 200M adults in this country, if 1 in 1000 orders seeds, that's 200,000 orders per year, ~4000 per week. I figure the number of people who order is probably a lot more than that. If widespread interdiction were actually happening, we'd know it. Obviously, it's not.

Globalization- Ain't it Grand? The sheer volume of mail coming into this country has to be astronomical, so I'm confident that millions of small lots of contraband of all sorts passes right through the process. Postal authorities know it full well, and are apparently loathe to go all goody two-shoes over small batches of marijuana seeds, The downside, slowing the process, results in a lot of complaints & headaches, and there's really no upside for them, at all. No gold stars are awarded for being a PITA, holding up the mail while looking for needles in haystacks. Quite the contrary.

I often use the North Koreans to smuggle goods around the world.

I tip them with German porn and chocolate.

D.R.P.K.P.S. is the way to go!

Never had a problem over 6 yrs of ordering. The siezure rate depends upon the location the mail comes into the country.People who order medications from overseas to save money or whatever claim that Dallas, Miami and Chicago are the worst and San Fran and JFK are the best( 60 minutes show).I'm in the NE so all mail from Europe goes through JFK and I've done at least 15-20 orders including seeds from friends in Spain. No problems at all. When they do find it, they throw it away, there are much bigger things than our seeds coming through the international mail.I understand your concern for sure but I really wouldn't worry.:)
