Orange strain with a good high?

I grew some Nirvana California orange bud before, and it was the best flavour i've had. I liked it more than the best blueberry i've had. High was on the up-side but somewhat dull. Good growth traits.
Is there any other california orange lines with better highs and stable in flavour for seedcrops? I'd like something with more indica and other one with more sativa in it?

I was thinking maybe dutch passion, high quality seeds, flying dutchman or kc brains? White label Orange bud? Or look for other strains like Mango haze or kc mango?

Or should I just order more Nirvana Calio and cross it to a dank indica and Neville'shaze/mangohaze/purehaze to select my own lines? Neville's haze was also some of the best tasting after some cure. Trippy stuff.

Only tried growing a couple orange strains but have smoked many more and this is clearly the best

,, extremely psychoactive,, morning / daytime smoke ,, do NOT smoke in evening if you want to sleep!!

Strong smell of styrofoam. very sticky and overpowering smoke

Mountain High had a Cali-O X Deep Chunk that was Off the hook with Orange flavor and a knockout stone.

Those sound like what i'm after. I grew The pure and Neville's haze along the california orange and they were much better in highs, but I smoked a lot of cali o just for the taste, sometimes mixing it with neville's haze.

KingV your suggestion of Cali-O x Haze sounds yummy..hook that shit up!!
I am doing a pollen chuck of my C+ (Cali-O x DJS BB) to make F2's, and to also make a batch of my "Juno" (Jillybean x Flo) x C+. I also grabbed a LA Confidential clone, and I am chuckin that with the C+ pollen also.
In the other grow room, I am also trying something on the mad scientist side-I am also chuckin pollen on two Cali-O feminized beans I have...with pollen from a Grape Skunk F1 (Shiva Skunk x Grape Krush) I made last year, and a DJS BB cut from Berkeley Patients Group.

I am still interested in other suggestions on Orange strains, send 'em in!!!

Mountain High makes no mention of the Cali-O X DC but I got mine with Venomhead and a few other DC crosses. It was a couple of years ago.

I've crossed a Chimera's C-plus (cali-o clone x dj's bb) male with a few plants and the orange carries on. IMO there's two types of orange flavor w/ the bb cross, one is like funky-orange-playdoh and the other is like a candy orange. Also double serrated leaves = cali-o.

Cali-O x Haze sounds awesome. Electric orange!

I was not impressed with the Dutch Passion Orange Bud.

Sweet Seeds Ice Cool (diesel line) has a tangerine pheno. Smells just like tangerines, tastes like tangerines, heck you can spit and the spit tastes like tangerines.

I like Cali Orange!

I wouldn't recommend buying Nirvana's Cali-O. They reworked it recently, and the resulting strain wasn't what I would even guess was Cali-O. If you check their new website, you can't even find this strain. I wonder if they've decided to drop it. If you find cali-o, look for the 50/50 indica/sativa hybrid. The original strain had a bunch of great old school effects, including increased "occular acuity" (colors look more intense, orange especially). Some vendors offer Orange Bud, but this is a mostly indica strain and is not the same.

Nirvana's cali-o from 4 years ago was great. It had the dry orange peal smell, and tasted of orange candy. It had hybrid vigor and the pistils turned bright orange almost immediately. I had one pheno that put out 4 leaves at every internode! Good Luck with your search!

Yes, mostly grew like indica, one pheno had more foxtailing buds and some vanilla/yoghurt added to the taste. I might have to order some pack or two if they really dropped it out. They were a pleasure to grow and smoke though not the best.

Hey DocLeaf,

If it smells of styrofoam, I'd sure hope it doesn't taste like that too or I reckon I'd chuck! How does this stuff taste? And is it a smooth smoke? I sorta would have expected it to smell like oranges. Have you ever smelt styrofoam when its burning?! Phew!
