HA! I had the same thing happen to me with these seeds and I asked Verite about it in a PM and he said IT WAS ME. Glad to hear it isn't! I got 2 packs of Orange Diesel and out of the 30 all popped and 5 of the 17 ladies I got went hermie. Don't worry I am sure if you pop the remaining beans you will get some useable females and am content with the fact that I can easily breed that trait out.
I will know more when the smoke report comes back from my friend about quality of smoke ext, and will post the feedback but judging from how they are looking I have to say these beans were well worth the price.

I went down and snapped some pictures of a White Widow lady I have going for another post and thought I would snap a couple more of the Orange Diesel that was just glemming in the light.
I could only get a couple as my batteries were low in the camera. MOre to follow as they get choped and dried.

Really I did not know that he had more strains up at seedbay.
Hum....I will have to go check it out. I also have his Holy Grail going currently...now that strain is one that makes your mouth water when you walk by from the smell. It is some nice smelling stuff.
I think I will start another post on those ladies when they are a little further along. They are only at 45 days of flowering and are just now starting bulk up.

We will see when they are finished and dried. What kind of smoke and flavor it has. So far no orange smell....but sometimes the aroma does not really come out till the very end. I gave a friend of mine a couple of nugs from the side branches to try....I am waiting on feedback from him. But these ladies still have another week or so to go before they are finished.
I am sure if Verite says anything at all about this post it will be to bash something I have done wrong.

Great shots man gotta love that diesel,shell turn anything into gold.LOL!!Kinda funny any breeder that is told one of their creations went hermie they say its grower error.When any pot plant in existance has a chance of going hermie.The plant wants to breed that is its sole purpose in life is to make seed so theyll try and be sneaky and do it however possible.Not neccesarily the breeders fault but still call em on it and every time youll get the same thing.It was yer fault,ha breeders are funny that way.Oh well nobodys perfect.Peace,Gromerr Pott!
It really is not an issue with me.....so a couple went hermie....not the end of the world....I still got some useable females and males. I just thought he would of liked to know since it seemed to be only one pheno that was used to produce seeds had that trait. If I remember correctly Verite used 3 different pheno to produce the seeds and include 3 seeds of each pheno in each pack of seeds.
okay so smoke report is back....my friend stopped by on his lunch break to give me the 411. This is just his opinion and take into account that they are not fully ready yet.
This opinion was favor was not there.....but if it had a taste he would have to say it was on the skunky side. The high he said is on the Sativa side.....and that he gave it a 7.5 out of 10 but mostly it is because the taste is not really there.
I will continue to update this post as I haverest and dry and also once I can try it myself I will give you my opinion of the finished product.

Do any of the three phenos have a cedar like smell? I smoked some sour diesel the other day that had this trait, almost smelt like Alaskan Thunder****.
