Hi there Don. Thanks for blazing the trail with the thunk.

4 of my 5 germ but 3 males, atleast i ended up with one girly, and lucky she seems to be the shorter pheno. I grow in a large room under 1k so im looking forward to see her age.

Thanks for the great thread im sure ill be rummaging through it again for the haze info, before its all said and done. After checking out the pictures i can tell im going to be glad i went 12/12 a couple weeks after they sprouted.

Belthane, Thanks for stoping by!!! Trust me I'm notthe first to grow out the Thunk as we call it! Do a search and you'll find some other interesting Thunk grows by Freezerboy and Lil Wayne, probably a few more out there too! Good luck with that lady!!!

Hi Phantom594, I didn't get strong odor from the Thunk. Once you opened the closet you knew they were there but more of a light cat piss + musk low odor. You should be good to go, a note of caution don't veg for very long 4" max, and be ready to use your training skills, scrog works well. I veged for 30 days and you see the monsters I ended up with!!!

Final weight was 10.5 oz's off the 2 monsters after a 2+ week hang useing a golden rod to help speed up the process some. No real nuggets but tons of long runners. The smell is hard to describe its almost chemical-astringent with undertones of cat piss, musk and pine.

Smoke Report

The first hit gets you right behind the eyes, you know it's comeing.
The second hit you feel up Up UP, and your heart startes to race a bit.
The third hit your up want to get up and do something anything, heart still raceing, starting to get spacey.
The 4th hit a nice warm body high starts to creep up on ya. Heart getting back to normal, layed back but you still want to get into something.
Still creeping body, very spacey, but aware, more relaxing.
5th hit...I'll wait
Overall a nice high quality smoke 7/10!!

Sorry I can't describe the taste, it still eludes me...but I've only smoked it in my new toy!




I picked up this puppy on E-Bay it's a Kia Vape. Got it for $90 with S&H, they sell for $220 at the guys site. Gives ya one hell of a hit!!! It closes up into a 4.5x4.5x8" aluminum box with handle and lock.

Man I got to reading this thread at the begining and couldnt stop. I like reading about the big sativa's. Grew a few but dont like the long wait...lol. They sure produce some pretty buds tho. Congrates on your successful harvest.

Thanks greenmonster714!!! I sure agree with you about the long wait!!! I also love the long thin leaves and the bud structure

May I suggest going the route I usually take when growing the sativas do a dual grow. It will keep you in fresh smoke to hold you over, and if you have a veg station you'll be almost half way thru your 2nd 56-75 day hybrib strain flowering stage!!!!!!!!! I keep the sativas tied back in a corner during the dual row allowing them to get huge and self LST against the cealing... then trim up the lower 24" and drop them to the bottom of the rez tank to allow for additional 2' of max headroom. You'll end up with some real monsters and a bumper yeild!!! It's the only way that allows me to "keep the faith" for the long haul it takes to let them finish!!!

I popped 4 of TH*Skunk seeds, all went ok, but reading its a 120 days strain, im thinking on giving up on her, at least, for now.

Is there a chance of getting a more skunky pheno that finishes in 80 days 12/12??

Two part question, Don:
1. Did the Thunk smoke any better now that it's been cured longer? (I think you did your smoke report two weeks after a one week dry).
2. How do you remove the males from your tub? Do you just cut the offending plant at the trunk, or do you try and remove all of its roots from the tub also?

Yea I got 1 thunk going right now kinda sucks about the flowering time but it just showed sex (female) so imma let it go and see what happens.

Frankenstein, I've seen a few grow out the Thunk and haven't seen anyone finish under 120, sorry! They are worth the wait!!!

Goodmangigabyte, She smokes about the same to tell ya the truth!
When pulling males I try to remove as much of the roots as possible without damageing the others!

Skarecrow, If you get your evening temps down around 50-55 lights off the last 2 months you may get the purple pheno type! Do some training to control height they tend to turn into monsters if ya just let em go!

Cheifsmokeingbud, Truthfully, I wish the skunk cross wasn't in there it calmed her down too much!,I'd of preffered more of an up trippy high. I like to do 1 or 2 dual grows a year. They were freebies so I gave em a go. I might try the Belladonna next time!

Greetings Don Cotyle, I'm not entirely sure where I read it but I vaugley remember you saying something about menage a trois. I have four healthy mother plants of that particular strain and I was about to set up a system similar to yours when I came across your grow via freezerboy's diary. I was going to emulate the scrog set up of the CAB but now I'm torn over the scrog vs. your method. My closet is about the size of yours and I am going to be using a 400w and DWC so I'll be looking to you and freezerboy for tips. The grow looks great, but your bonsai was inspirational.
