Opinions Wanted: Can I Start Flowering? (pics)

I'm hoping to start my 12/12 flowering schedule this week. Is it too soon?

Here are the factors to consider:

1. I have 6 NL#5 plants. They have been vegged for a little over a month from seed. I have read that NL generally harvests in 50 to 60 days after 12/12.

2. I'm vegging under a 250W Metal Halide with minimal fluor side lighting. I'm going to flower 12/12 under a 250W HPS.

3. I've employed some FIM and i'm LSTing so far. Plants are nice and bushy with about 5 tops each so far.

4. I have room in my cab for approximately 20" more of vertical growth. I'm going to reduce plants to either 2 or 3 after they show sex. I'm repotting in 3 gallon pots. I plan to continue to LST.

5. I am strongly motivated to harvest by May 20th. (for a variety of reasons), but I can veg longer if necessary.

Any input at all would be appreciated. Thanks for looking.

First Pic was taken this morning.

Second Pic is also today after a soaking and foliar feed (yes, they are droopy)

doesnt look like you have too much head room in that little box, it wouldnt be a bad idea to start flowering, nl has a bit of stretch to her. 30 days old is a pretty good time to flip. just keep up with the lst of it and youll be in business.

You can start flowering any time you want. It is even possible to go directly to 12/12 from seed. At 30 days you shouldn't have a problem and with your limited vertical space I'd definitely flip them ASAP.

I appreciate the input so far, sounds like I can flip at will.

I may give them 3 or 4 more veg days at the most, then it's HPS and 12/12.

and as always...

thanks for your support!

I would tie down a couple of the taller stems on each plant, then veg for another week, then flip. You'll utilize more of your grow space in an efficient manner while at the same time, allowing you more headroom. Just my .2 cents.

Either way, those girls look good and are going to look even nicer in flower.

I would have flowered earlier as bushy as those are. Sometimes bushy is more of an indication than height. They have big roots and lot's of stored energy when bushy. Those may stretch 4x.
