I little cheese fem bean going and I knocked her over today. I had hyroton in the bottom of my planter so it made it a bit bottom heavy. Roots had started to fill up space, but still need more time...result, the top 1/4 of my pot seperated....tearing my roots to shreds. :badday:

I now have to re-pot this little girl to see if I can save her...I should probably not use any of the soil that has roots that have been detached from the main plant. I think the tap root tore too...I will be AMAZED if she makes it.

Any advice on how to insure she doesn't die...and gettings the roots to grow again??

You got some superthrive or vitamin B1 supplements? Amino acids type stuff?

How much of the main tap root was ripped off? How old was this plant?
How big was she?

Depending on the age and height of the plant and how much root was ripped off is going to determine if she will make it or not.....

vitamin B1 stuff helps a ton with stress and helps regrow damaged roots

howdy there plant doctor...hehehe

can't leave well enough alone...lol. Yeah, i got some soil together and watered her with a bit of superthrive....I remember you telling me it was good for transplanting, so I tried to incorporate that. The tap root and all roots were the better part of 70-80 gone from the main mass. I think she just turned 18 days old yesterday...was about on the 4 node and showing healthy 2ndary growth. I would say she was still pushing 4-6 inches tall though...good and tight internodes...close lighting. Hopefully, she will pul through...

Eeekkkk!!! I hope she lives.... if the plant was older and bigger; the older the plant the more chance it has to survive; hopefully she pulls through, is she wilting at all or being droopy?

Looking like she is having transpiration problems?

actually...it doesn't really seem to have upset her. She is still growing....like she was never disturbed...I am not really expecting to see the devastating result until a couple days anyway...but as of right now...it seems all is well and okay. Almost seems like this kinda kicked her into high gear...like triggered a need to survive or something. That or it could be a result of just repotting into a larger pot....

not really sure what this means...but I would say, no. The reason for this being I think my other bush has got a bit of a "sweating" problem. Sometimes I just notice around the leaves, little "pools" of resting water. I would seriously say the bush is "sweating" so I am assuming this is what you mean. AND nope, the little cheese does not sweat.

What does this mean/indicate/suggest about the enviroment or conditions, seeing as the one does transpire.

well...not dead, and I saw new root growths along the top of the soil today around the stem...so, that was good...actuaaly had to push some dirt around to cover them...hehe...never really stopped growing either...a stout little cheese she appears to be :jump:

traspiration problems meaning she looks like she has a lot of water in her leaves that is not being used, her leaves feel moist and droopy looking; kinda like about 20 min after you chop a plant..... the water stays in the leaves causing it to look heavy looking and water filled.....

Sounds to me she will pull through just fine :)

The plant that is sweating, is the same one I was asking about "purple indications". I don't think I would say the plant ever looks droopy or hangs down. The leaves if anything are always turning upward, lifting themselves to the light. I give the plant about 12oz of water...2 times a day at about 10-12 hours apart. In a one gallon pot...the thing just drys out so quick. Temps are steady around 74-78 and humidity swaggers around a bit from 28-35 sometimes pushing 40-43...but hardly ever. She is sitting under a 150w enviro-light...one of the big fluros. So, I am not sure, I just think it is a thirsty plant. But seriously...top 1-1.5 inches dust dry after about 10-12 hours...I wonder if the lower soil is wet...but then I pick up the planter and it feels light as a feather. When I water, I have MAYBE, just a small puddle that 2 ply of toilet paper soaks up...so I don't think I have a transpiration problem....anyway....what do you think?
