Oops can I fix it?

Quick question folks. I f'd up. I had 4 brand new Eye Hortz 1000w MH bulbs hanging. I went to spray room with neem in early veg as a preventative. When I do that I wrap plastic bags around the bulbs and leave them hanging. Well I spaced the bags. Lights kicked on and nearly burned me down. I caught it early but damage done to the bulbs. Now they are caked with burnt melted plastic. Any way to salvage them? I had back ups but hate the thought of tossing $400+ in new bulbs. I will never do that again.

Thanks for any help on this.

Yikers! Better to be safe than sorry....personally, I'd ditch the bulbs, replace rather than worry factor is gone. $$ lesson learned.
Best to move and spray outside the room.

Mojave had a good idea. Scrape, then maybe use rubbing alcohol to remove rest of residue. Dry completely before attaching them again.

Use your spares until you get the old ones cleaned up.... Maybe...

How hot do those bulb envelopes get?
Maybe you could take the bulbs outside & flip 'em on to burn the remaining plastic off. IDK!

Maybe burn the plastic off with a torch.

Before any of that, I would attempt to peel/scrape the plastic away as previously suggested.
