Online Orderable DIY Convertible Mum/Veg Chambers?

As some of us here are aware, it often becomes difficult to just drop by a store and pick up a needed item.

I'm currently looking to set up a small Mum/Veg chamber and require input from others that have purchased off the net and converted the unit themselves.

I'm a pretty handy guy with tools but don't currently own any saws except a keyhole saw. (Not practical)

Any suggestions on cheap construction methods through online material purchases would be great.

It doesn't have to be too stealthy but not downright obvious either.

Lighting will be CFL'S

Box must accommodate the following:

Approx 8 Bonsai Mum/Dad plants DWC
1 Bubble Shoebox aero cloner
2-4 Vegging plants
Activated carbon air filter (DIY scrubber)
PC fan cooling (Or a recommended quiet substitute)

This is a personal medical grow and I'll be playing with a few different strains until I find the right combination that works for me. I really don't want to go over 12 plants at any given time but being close is ok.

I plan on only flowering out 2 plants at a time and will be building separate chambers for each of those as well. (Short flower Indica box and Long flower sativa box)

Who's found the best source for materials and shipping in the U.S.?? :)

Use one of the wardrobe cabinets from Home Depot or Lowes. Do a search for 'Mills Pride Club' thread with tons of pages of ideas.

Lots of us started with a cabinet like that.

If you live by an IKEA then you'll have a huge selection of perfect growing cabinets.

The cheapeast are the white Ballsted line of wardrobes. They also have wall cabinets that also have a plinth so they become floor cabinets.

Ok... I don't live by any stores. I'm looking for online selections.
Most everything I've found is either too confusing as to what it is or too expensive(for what it is).

I'm also needing to keep it cheap for now. Home construction is fine as long as I don't need a jig-saw or circular saw.

I CAN and will rip thin boards with a keyhole saw.

Looking for an online source that either has dirt cheap cabinets and an easy way to see what they are
OR
A great online hardware store that delivers cut materials through UPS or something.

I'm looking at possibly using a light wood frame (1/2" square sticks) covered with some sort of thin opaque material.

Any suggestions on the material to use to cover it with (Think cheap and light) and an online source that will cut and ship it?

Thanks (I'm still looking)

You may want to consider one of the rubbermade sheds then. They're lighter, so shipping will be cheaper for you. You may also be able to cut holes in it with a razor blade if you use your muscles..

Ah, yes, you could do this and cover it with panda plastic (a black-on-one-side-white-on-the-other thick plastic). Any online hydro store carries it.

Definitely not stealth but yes, thank you. :)

Someone was throwing out a dresser.

Problem Solved.

Sort of LOL

Just need a fan, some more parts and a lot of elbow grease. :muahaha:

As it is the temps are ok in it for just the seedlings I have going. 2009 looks like it might be a nice year for me for once.

It's been a looooooong time since I didn't have to pay for my meds.... really miss those days.
