Online Hydro MJ grower friendly stores

I'd do wormsway myself, they have anything you'd need at regular prices and are in the business of being in business and minding their own business..business business binnes binne.. ,

Wormsway has a large inventory and they are a professional business if you don't mind paying retail. Maybe it's worth the extra, but there are better deals found on other sites. (I have bought from them many times, but usually use them as a last resort)

Hydro stores are in business to make money. What do they gain by turning someone in? All they lose is a customer and the profits from that customer. Your question is a tough one to answer. I would be asking which places are the most discreet and best priced because the majority of people here don't know the inner workings of online hydro stores.

People can probably list some to avoid such as ones that don't ship discreet, or aren't professional...etc.

I have seen cheaphydroponics recommended (I haven't used though)
plantlightinghydroponics has been mentioned (I've used numerous times, no problems)
texashydroponics has been recommended (I've used once, no problems)
wormsway also is recommended (I've used numerous times, no problems)
BGhydro (They shipped me the wrong item and I had bad customer service from them the first time. I gave them a second chance and had no problems. Many others have recommended them as well, hence the second chance.

Hope that helps,
Johnny

 Having cheap for a name is crazy!

Cheaphydroponics was recommended in the forums for their price on the Homebox. I checked and they do have the best price on them.

I ordered mine form 4hydroponics before I knew about cheaphydroponics and also had no problems with them and free shipping over $250 I think. FYI wormsway's Homebox is way more expensive than either of these places.

I have also ordered from Futuregarden numerous times. Most of the time it was plain packaging, but when I ordered a case of coco coir a couple times it had the label with name Ultra Coir and directions for using it clear taped to the top of the box. I recently ordered from them again and it was plain packaging, but I had numerous other things in my order.

One thing I forgot to mention is I would read the policies about shipping and privacy before I ordered from any online store.

Imo it doesnt matter what outfit you go with when UPS and FEDEX will give up any shipping information when asked to from law enforcement.

The odds might be in your favor since theres so much more traffic now but who the hell wants to take a chance being picked out of their 'list'.

Imo you take your chances ordering stuff off the internet from grow stores with your credit card. A paper trail is a paper trail no matter how hard you try to convince yourself you wont show up on their list.. you just might.

btw just as someone had mentioned one of the owners from Wormsway got pinched and gave out customer information. Do a google on Wormsway and Operation Green Merchant.

I searched it and didnt come up with anything specific on Wormsway, but I did see where the feds subpoena'd and recieved shipping records from 50 or so shops. I'm just curious as to why worms gets singled out when there were ALOT of others involved. Is there some specific information or is it all a "friend of a friend" type stuff posted on forums?

The packaging and also the return address label is what they need to consider when shipping stealthy. My mailman always questions me about gardening when they put "blankity blank Garden Supply" on the return addy. And I always forget and order stuff from the blankity blanks again. hehehe I just tattooed their name on my dog so I won't forget... haha PEACE PeeYoo

Watch out for large orders at texashydroponics. I ordered a fairly large order and they tried to have it drop shipped on a pallet to my house. I had to go and get it from the shipping company. I explained to them i live on a small street and ill just come pick it up. Everything on the pallet was in orig boxes and clear wrapped! My face just went pail as we loaded it up. Just let the guy know were picking it up for a greenhouse. So always ask the company before it ships.

Yes, there is specific information. Worms way was singled out (among others) in operation green merchant (I believe 1989, a while back at any rate) because they had advertised in High Times. They basically went through, singled those shops, and went to town.

Here's a link: http://www.cannabisculture.com/articles/4557.html

IMO talking about specific merchants on here is somthing that should be frowned upon for the reasons above. If they had done green merchant in 2006, they'd certainly be trolling these sites and now, worms way is on their list.

just my opinion.

OH, BTW

I've personally ordered from worms way, and although the service and selection was *excellent*, its shipped in the original factory packaging meaning:

that sunleaves light you got? yea the box promises prolific growth indoors, any time of year!

When you come home and theres a box like that on your doorstep, well. :fsu:

Using gardening equipment ads in High Times as their roadmap, undercover DEA agents visited hydroponics stores and contacted hydroponics wholesalers, asking for advice and materials for marijuana cultivation.

The DEA subpoenaed United Parcel Service (UPS) delivery records associated with hydroponics stores, getting information on tens of thousands of people suspected of procuring hydro equipment for marijuana growing. Hydroponics retailers were already nervous, noting that Congress started passing laws in 1985 that criminalized otherwise legal products if they were "intended for illegal use."
Looks to me that they didnt have a choice in the matter. They are in business to sell widgets, not protect rights. As much as I hate to admit it, if the feds came in here with a subpeona for shipping records, I doubt if I would have the resources or the will to fight them over it, I don't sell gear so no worries.

Anyway, like alot of others, I've ordered bits and pieces from them several times and it worried me to see posts stating that they are not to be trusted. Seeings that all this happened back in 91 and they were pretty much forced to comply like all the others I feel ALOT less worried.

What about the issue of delivery?

I am not worried about accessing the website or paying for the order because it is easy to take precautions regarding those issues, but at some point the goods will have to be delivered somewhere. How do you keep that somewhere from being traced back to you?

I'm lucky to have a different address to ship to and my CC bills go to a different address too. I'm sure that if a prosecuter REALLY wanted to, he could fit the pieces together. Also, I only have a couple of 400 watters so I doubt I'm on anyones radar.

So far no issues with box labels tipping anyone off but I don't order big items. When I got my reflectors and ballasts I drove to a different state and paid cash.
