one tent, different grow rates

Just wondering any ideas here. I have only 1 tent (4x4x7), with 4 different varieties. while 2 of the girls are ready for flip (about 2' tall, the others are only about 12", and not ready. I was thinking of taking the big ones out of the tent and into darkness to stop them from growing any further, and keep the 2 smaller ones under the MH on 18/6 until they reach 2'. I've supercropped all the plants, and don't want to prune/pinch/tie down the big girls any more- as i think i'd run out of horizontal space in the tent. Any ideas ? by keeping the tall ladies in the dark for extended period of time, im afraid of doing damage or even worse, killing them... Any advise?
thx much

if you place the plants into darkness, that forces them to stretch even more because they are 'looking' for light. If anything...do the opposite..take the small ones and dark cycle them but I wouldn't advise that either.

Just crop them.. Take a hunk off the top if you have to.. I know that sounds brutal and all but if you have to, you have to. Could also, really tie them back/down..Again, I know you said you don't want to but it comes to a question of wanting to or needing to...

Good Luck no matter what you do..

Hey guy!!,
Don't worry about it, I have the same size tent-or mine is actually 6.5 feet tall and I've only run into the height problem a couple of times. Pinch or top them. Good luck!

You could always tie the taller ones down and let them grow laterally this would give the others time to catch up to the bigger ones.
