One more reason to be dark during the day

I always run the lights through the night time hours because its easier to control the heat, because thats when I'm up, and now it turns out that co2 levels during the night are about 20 ppm higher at night in any given area.

While all the other plants in the area are giving off c02 instead of depleting c02, yours are taking it in. Its not a huge amount (20 ppm), but every little bit helps.

Thanks.
That's interesting.
I've run my lights at night for the last 15 years just a matter of convenience. Nice to know it's beneficial too.

I run mine during the day this time of year. Some of the cuts might end up outdoor this spring so i like to mimic what is happening in the real world.

I find lighting schedule works out to -

* Stealth considerations
* Plant health, especially Heat.
* easy on the Plant Care Professional

So I usually go on in the day, during the winter.

Once I was in an apartment with midnight to noon schedule. The water condensed on the covers covering my windows. The water leaked on the floor. The landlord thought a pipe had burst.

Through some MIRACLE of whatever, the landlord did not try to get into my place.

Anyway, that taught me a lesson about that lighting schedule.

But I've had overnight light schedules. It's cool having the lights on at night.
