long story short: my first grow was taken over by the DREADED SPIDER MITES . I had a ton of great strains....moving on *tear*

so, a lot of money has been spent. i consider it a learning fee -- and i hope i'm done paying the tax. with that said, before i planted any beans, i just wanted to run this by you guys and get some input

I really loved the organization of Poppin Fresh's thread..

Setup
Lights: (2) 400w HPS, (1) 1000w HPS.
Location: Garage -- my garage has like..a side garage that the plants will be in. I'm going to clean it meticulously with beach.
Soil: Fox Farm Ocean Forest cut with perlite.
Nutrients: Fox Farm Grow Big & Cal-mg for veg; Fox Farm tri-pack for flower
Air: two walmart fans , and 6" inline fan. venting out the addict.
Temperature: 78.
Water: Arrowhead mountain water .
Genetics: Rosebud Kush, G-13/Hashplant, Cinderella 99 (considering), & Northern Lights.

Dates/Information
11/23 Germinated 4 Northern Lights and 3 Rosebud Kushs.
11/27 4/4 Northern Lights poppped. 0/2 rosebud.
12/6 Planted 20something rosebud kush, and 12 big bud x strawberry & got a Master Kush clone
1/12 Put plants into flowering

the place is all cleaned out..
planting the rosebud kush & Northern Lights tonight possibly; I've got some soil that's been in my garage the whole grow..basically, is there a chance that the mites could be in that soil now? should i throw it out?

My 1000w got so hot some red plastic crap started dripping it looks like. good thing i ordered a fan for it last week

here are a few pictures of the plants that had mites. It's been pretty cold here, 40-58 at night, and although there are signs of the temp issues, they've gotten a lot better overall. it seems as though the mites are gone (couldn't stand the cold, perhaps?).

G13 / Hashplant seedlings i planted before i knew i had mites. I didn't think they'd make it in the cold, but they seem to be pulling through.

all the northern lights beans popped today

i've got them under a 42w cfl in a 7 x 3. gonna throw em under the 400w in a week

Northern Lights:



these gals were growing really slow compared to the others; it wasn't until I popped em out to check out their roots that I saw why. Fat hairy roots! I transplanted them 3 days ago and they've taken off.



i've been giving the girls 1/4 grow big, 1/2 open sesame, 1 tsp cal-mg. Looks like they don't want the grow big anymore. clawwww

these are either rosebud kush or big bud x strawberry. got a 14 gram bud from the bag, so hopefully these babies will follow in their mums footsteps

switched to beastie bud for the two girls in bloom.. got some more girls starting to bud too. i think they weren't getting enough darkness before. we'd come in turning on lights and such.. anyway, it's been a long time since an update.

they look great sardonic! might i suggest that you transplant to larger pots? those pots look way to small for those tall plants! otherwise, looking great. what strain are those nice looking bud pics of?

awesome man, very awesome. I got some nirvana big buds coming my way, do you know if i could cross them with speed queen from mandala? i know it can be done, but will the results be a f2? how does that work
