One leaf growth?

Why is it that some plants start with 7 fingered leaves, but then start producing less fingers on the leaves as it grows? Until there is only one leaf left. If that makes sense to anyone, let us know please.

i have never had a plant start with anything other than one bladed leaves...reveging a plant that already started flowering will produce single bladeed leaves for a while

i've seen plants that grow 1 finger leaves. tell me..are you revegging that plant? have you been playing around with the lights?

lorain how can a plant start life with seven fan leaves?I've never seen that lol I thnik we are misunderstanding what you're asking or something.The only time I've seen fans like that is when cuttings are taken after 12/12 then vegged out,or a revegged plant will show those characteristics.I dont know if this is what you're talking about or not.Did you take cuts after 12/12?Also,I've noticed with many strains when a plant is put to flower the fans will decrease the higher up the plant you go.I just looked at a skywalker and it goes 7 to 5 to 3 to single fans on the top of the cola.

thats what my K2 did in flowering, probably just genetics

Yes of course there are 2 little one bladed leaves at the start of all plants. That is a given. Then, the 5,7,9,and even 11 fingered leaves grow. But my plants are then producing 3 and 1 fingered leaves, before being put into flower. Its ok the bud is lookin good.

sounds like the lighting wasnt a steady veg cycle lighting any of the single blade's curling. during flower it reverts back to 5-3- 1 blade leaves on the buds themselves


BTW all my plants from seed do the 1finger then 2sets 3finger 2 sets 5finger 2sets 7 finger so on so forth

It might be the lights,but only the indicas seem to be affected. The sativas were "normal". I think maybe, they just wanted to be flowered.

SWIM only has one-fingered leaves at re-veg, or when under stress, possibly turning into a hermie.

right on hope ya figure it out i know my sugar shack indica dom strain dosent like any lighting under 16 hrs. mine will start to throw curled single blade's and funky 3's untill it's been back on solid 18 on 6 off for 1.5-2wks another timer for the veg chamber he he. only after it's thrown prim and proper leaves do i throw into flower
