Yeah irie, I have that problem on occassion. Stress has alot to do with it, it sometimes cures itself once new roots develope and you give them a good dose of Veg nutes. Then again I had a Belladonna clone that stayed 1 leafed all the way through flowering, looked funny as hell, but I got buds from her and she smokes fine.

Just stress, or a strain that doesnt clone very well. Nothing to worry about.

Im flowering a Chronic clone that was taken as an experiment. I hadnt cloned before, so just wanted to see if i could pop it in a cube and let it go. I didnt have a dome and conditions were prob far from optimal for clones, but she got there in the end.

Once she had rooted and grew a small bit i felt the mission was accomplished so i threw it into flowering. It still has lots of 1 finger leaves and looks weird cuz i didnt let it vewg out properly, but im gonna let it flower out anyway. I dont want to keep the genetics or anything, as i said im i was just experimenting.

Happens when you take clippings from a flowering plant. Nothing to worry about.

Irie is the only way to be.

No worries, I have a Belladonna clone flowering at 5 weeks still pumping out single leaves. It's cool looking to be honest. Still smokes good too.

Keep it green

I agree with greenbastard...
When cuttings came from a flowering plant (even early stage flowering in some cases), the new vegetative growth begins now since its under a longer lighting cycle, and as a result it will begin veg growth anew with a single blade node pair, followed by the usual three blade set(s) and onward...five...seven...nine...etc.

Also agreeing with jollygreengiant,
Even if the cuttings came from a vegging plant, they can and often do begin their new growth looking somewhat mutated. The best example I can think of here is any strain with blueberry in it. The blues show all kinds of strange looking mutated and twisted first fan leaves including such oddities as four bladed fans instead of the usual five etc.

in 8oz beer cups, under flouros. any ideas?

I'll bet your new clones are outgrowing those cups already. Maybe you should move them to a bigger container.

I've seen 32oz. party cups used for clone planters in the past, but plants will always outgrow them quickly. Are you tending these clones to use after your next harvest, or are these your current crop?

If these are your current crop, it sounds like they are ready for transplant to bigger containers, incrementally stronger light, and stronger nutrients.

If you want to keep a plant slowly growing, move the light far away, lower nutrients, and put them in the smallest container you can. This gives you enough room to harvest your current crop before you overgrow your cloning space.

Best of luck with your grow!
