For sale; Commercial/industrial grow lights. Asking price is $35.00 each, 50 available. These lamps produce a full spectrum of light. Each lamp has two bulbs, one 400 watt metal halide, and one 400 watt high pressure sodium bulb. They can be lit seperatly or together. Dimensions are about 28x18x8 inches square. These have multi-tap ballasts and can run on 120v/208v/240v/277v. They are prewired at 120 volts. Original cost was $465 each and they are about 4 years old. These lamps had very little use and I have spare bulbs available. "

Hmmm...I dont know...looks ok to me, but keep in mind that old magnetic ballasts can produce more noise/heat and are not as efficient as a new ballasts (really depends on use). That being said, i think its one crazy deal.

Yea I was suspecting there would be some DIY cooling added to these as I bet they're down to get insanely hot.

Only thing is, I know there was federal drug training nearby real recently, and this guy is offering to deliver.

Seems odd to me, also the price seems suspiciously low for someone that would have paid almost $500 for them, as I'd call even $100 a pretty good deal. Seems like somthing those monkeys would have gotten in some type of major seizure.

Am I nuts or should I be taking extreme caution when I pick these up?

I'm thinking about having a non-growing third party pick them up for me.

maybe he works in construction and ripped em out of a job.
builing could have been retrofitted w/ new lights.
they dont look like they were originally built to grow with.
they could have been ripped out of a cieling on some job.
selling them as grow lights will help them sell faster.
guy sounds like a smart money maker.
even at 50 /piece, they'll fly out the door and he will still make money.
all profit for him.
