One ballast for two bulbs.

Ahoy,

I know i saw these somewhere but i cant seem to find it nor the proper search term on googles. So any of you know where i can locate a switch/unit that allow me to operate two bulbs on one ballast, meaning where one runs for 12 hours then it switches and let another one run for 12 hours, and back again. And yes this is for two separate grow rooms.

I think you mean a flip flop. Do a search here, plenty of DIY instructions on building one. If you you want to buy one, check out www.nowirenuts.ca. Hes a member here and builds some really nice ones

Hazy Lady: Yea those are nice, but since i already own the ballast and trying to avoid the cost of another one.

eminem: yea i mean like those flipflops, i've considered building one myself but i rather buy one that is prooven and will cause me no concern, nowirenuts seems like the guy to contact when you have 20 ballasts. You dont know of any grow shop that sells em?

edit: upon searching for the term "growshop flipflop" i found none selling em but a shitload of forums where frustrated growers give out hate for the growshops not selling them.

The key to Search at IC is to never use the Search function. You want to use Advanced Search by Titles Only (in the drop down Search Menu) This brings up two pages of threads dedicated to nothing but flip flops. Maybe your answer is in there.
