ona gel

I bought a gallon, and that stuff is pretty strong, I'd say too strong. I also put a cup in my living room/kitchen. Then I started thinking, that Ona Gel is not availalbe everywhere, wal-mart, target, home depot or whatever (as far as I know). If for some reason mainteance person were to be here, or even police if music is too loud, and they recognize that smell of OnaGel from different grows that they might have busted, or if they're suprised as to why does it smell so strong, would that give them any hints, or am I being paranoid? for now I got rid of it everywhere and just have regular glade scents and left the gallon in the actual grow area.

the smell is so strong I don't even like it, I tried to remove the top when I first got it and couldn't so just drilled some holes at the top and it's still very strong.

dude how many plants you have

cause you only need a lil bit if you only got a couple plants

i had a few of the small ones for my grow...it got to stinky though and i bought a carbon filter

ive got the big ona block, it works wonders in my basement
i like the smell..
i use to smell the downstairs flowerroom all the way upstairs, but now i cant smell em at all

edit- no carbon scrubber here, but also i have no neighbors so its all good

Oh, and I use ona in conjunction with a scrubber, so you guys are probably overusing it to really cover stink, where to me, it only removes that last tinge.

I have never used this Ona stuff before. Where do you get it, do I have to get it at a hydro store? Sorry for all the Questions but my 2 carbon scrubbers are not enough still comes upstairs.Dam Ice & Mass skunk. Oh yea does it smell like moth balls?? just trying to get and idea Thanks All

yeah at a hydro store, or online they sell it everywhere just search, "ona gel". I'm not really complaing against it or anything, It smells like fresh linen, I just don't really like the smell of any fragrances unless it's mild, so that's probably why I don't like the smell, but it's defeinately strong. I wouldn't sweat it. There are a whole lot of people with some funky smelling shit in their homes. I'm sure a lot of these people use Ona Gel too. Plus, I doubt that anyone but the most experienced DEA agents would associate the smell of Ona with mj grows. Household deodorizers are a big$$$$ industry, not because of mj, but because of pets. I wouldn't worry about the smell of Ona attracting any "unwanted" visitors. It sucks that you don't like the smell though. I just bought a blower, can filter, and flange for $160, and you can't smell anything two inches from my growroom door!!!!! (I have 16 plants at day 50 of flower)The filters sold in hydro shops may be a bit overpriced, but damn do they work good! I feel as though mine was worth every penny. Would you pay $160 to completely ease your mind of odor issues?? I would.....and I did.

I have a 4" vortex and a caronb scrubber as well, I just bouht ona gel for extra measures, I'm just growing one plant, but I want to see how well everything works before I try to get any further

With a 4" vortex, and a scrubber, I would think that you could definitely take care of the odor from one plant. Have you tried the scrubber alone? Don't get me wrong, it's always good to be extra cautious. I'm guessing your a renter? Like I said, I have 16 plants at day 50, all the way in the back room in the basement, and I thought I could get away without a scrubber. Eventually, the stink traveled up my basement stairs, into the livingroom. One day, I could even smell it on the front porch. I got the scrubber that night, and within two days, you can't smell it from 1 foot away!! I would think your scrubber would more than handle one plant. Are you sure you have created a negative vaccum? You want a smaller intake so that every single molecule of air that leaves your room/cab goes through the scrubber. I canactually feel the draft of air being pulled into my room where my intake is. This is essential to scrubbing effectively.

Sorry if you already know all this, but like I said, I would think a scrubber on a 4" fan could easily take care of a one plant grow. Then you wouldn't have to deal with any fragrances at all.

Nothing beats the V Tek 4000,but i also use an AW Fresh Matic and it works great.Kills the smell and isnt over powering.The Citrus scent is nice,and its cheap for the whole set up.You can get it at any CVS and its only $9.99 with the can and Mister and batteries .You mount it to the wall outside the grow or anywhere yer worried about smell and presto bango,lol,it smells sweet without the Sweet smell and weed smell mixed,its an air sanitizer.I dont suggest using it alone,i use the VT4000 right off my room and this outside the grow, like hallways, adjoining rooms or any where people might venture at times.Peace and stay safe all,FMD

your way over doing the ona gel...i had six plants and like 2 small cups of ona in there

you couldt smell anything till the last few weeks of flower

then i added my cabon filter and removed the ona

no smelly
