if u have a carbon filter setup correctly there is no need for ona gel.

Technically, yes. Carbon has micropores that grab the smell molecules and store them away. There are only so many micropores and once they are filled the filter is garbage. So the more "odor molecules" passing over the surface of the filter the less lifespan it would have.

Having said that though, I don't think that it is a noticeable effect with Ona. I have used the same carbon filter with an ona block or gel in the near by area (more for the cat litter box than anything) and my Phresh filter is going on a solid 5 grows, at least 500 days of use, and it still smells like fresh carbon.

Don't put Ona in your room. Your bud absorbs the smell and gives your flowers a nasty taste. Ask me how I know.

Instead, use it in the rest of the house.

We started getting complaints about our taste. I was offended at first that my glorious product would have a problem with taste. A light bulb went on one day and I starting having a suspicion it was the Ona from the descriptions from friends. Had a friend with an amazing palette help me narrow it down. When we got to the Ona, he replied, "Yep. That's the smell and taste.".

And the feedback from folks was that the nasty flavor was gone when I took the Ona out of my room.

Okay, so I use ona only for few hours at harvest time, out of the growing room!
