Without any pests it won't live long.
I would be sad if it dies. but it probably would have died in my building anyway seems they're fragile , and yea I just couldn't pass it up I never thought I would see one let alone in my place lol. Maybe there's microscopic buggers up there. And If it doesn't seem like it after a while I can always let him back outside . Or maybe he will fly out if there's nothing for him sometime when I air it out right.

Yes it's a lacewing and if I'm not mistaken they can survive feeding on pollen. I agree about the ladybugs, they are very disappointing predators lol. I bought larvae a couple of times and felt like I wasted my money. The larvae are very voracious, but as soon as they get wings they go away, at least in my garden.

One of my favorites are jumping spiders. Depending on where you live you might have them at home, chilling on the ceiling or next to a window. They are easy to catch with a cup, you put it over them and wait till they eventually jump inside. I leave them on a leaf and the next few days you can often see them and they look very busy. They don't make a web either so that's a plus. I love these little spiders.

The honey water spray in that article looks interesting, I might try that.

Cool! Thanks man! I do see those guys around my building every now and again, my building has so many spiders lol. I love jumping spiders too lol, people call me crazy but I think they're right cute lol. I've worried about starving them too though. I think I'll pick up a flower tomorrow! Also gonna read that article now

If you're worried they'll starve, hunt a couple of flies and leeave them laying around. These little spiders eat anything they can get.

Most of the adult lacewings feed on pollen, honeydew and nectar. I have look up chrysoperla carnea and the adults feed on honeydew and need that for reproduction. When u see them in your area there are probably a lot of aphids around. All larvae of the lancewings are good predators. You can try to find the eggs and put them in your groom. chrysoperla carnea eggs get layed where aphids are.

I also really like the jumping spiders. I can catch them easy in the summer and they survive very good in my groom.

Adult ladybugs have the problem that they are attracted to light. A hps will roast all within few days. They will survive longer when u spray them with diluted soda so their wings got stuck for some days. But iirc the larvae of the ladybugs are the benificial predators to use.

I did the same with a ladybug a few years ago.
It lasted a few days until it flew into my MH bulb.

Rest in PAR

Nice pics here, who doesn't love spiders in the grow? I praise every web I see (besides the borg's)

Fruit flies, gnats, sink flies, no matter what precautions you take there always seems to be a damn flying thing somewhere. Even if the spider is gone those year old webs work as good as any sticky trap ;)

:( but they can still scare the crap out of me

Lovely photos haha 😍❤. So guys I got some marigolds which luckily after getting them I found a couple sites saying lacewings can enjoy them 😊. I suppose if it's hungry it'll find it's way down on it's own or should I do something? haha. I may raise the flowers up a bit. Now I'm googling how to keep marigolds alive indoors. seems possible, might work for my veg cycles at least :) Maybe be able figure out a way for bud cycle too? Paid under 5$ tho so 🤷🏼‍♂️

But yea I'm just like will he find his way down or do I need to help lol. He's definitely gotten active past few days exploring the tent haha ❤ still hasnt tried to leave

This is what I got it like in there right now

Also read that marigolds in the tent might also take pests away from my weed plants as well. Apparently they can have that effect, so an added bonus? Double the trouble for the buggers lol? I'm like wow how did I get this lucky with my choice :) . just hoping all goes well

He died :( . RIP. He's under my biggest girl now in the soil. Did I take too long maybe? He starve? I will keep looking for more though, it was too enjoyable having the little friend lol. I hope Im not cruel for that. Anyway I threw a spider in there in the meantime , cause there's a few flies around that marigold. Hoping to god that the flowers also works like that link told me haha. Thinking about transplanting the marigolds into promix, spread them out. maybe in double their pots size. maybe thats what im supposed to do anyway lol spread them out idk

"Many of the Tagetes marigolds produce secretions from their roots that kill harmful nematodes, such as the root-knot nematode. That delightful, spicy scent they emit is also said to repel flies, mosquitoes, ants, aphids, whiteflies, and greenflies. Finally, they attract beneficial insects, including ladybugs. Calendula officinalis also has a reputation for attracting ladybugs and lacewings. It does not kill nematodes, and its repellent effect on other pests is less researched. In fact, it is known for the opposite; Calendula is very attractive to many pest species, including aphids and whitefly. This may sound like a negative, but you can plant these marigolds near more delicate or valuable flowers as a natural form of pest control. The pests will swarm to the marigolds and leave the rest of your garden alone!"

I think you are extremely cruel and should be ashamed of yourself, maybe even go to jail. Anyway if it is buried in the soil next to your plant, it will be eaten by her. Your plant is your little friend as well, and she deserves to eat. We die and become the grass, the grass gets eaten and pooped by animals and the poop becomes Macdonalds hamburgers. Such is the circle of life and such is the cruel fate that awaits us all.
