Totally normal, music has many strong effects on us, and is a significant component of memory. Not a thing wrong with you...plus it sounds like you're happy with your life right now. K+ to you!

any tunes from the 70s conjures up memories of girlfriends past or nights spent cruisin' Central Av in Yonkers looking for chicks, I had a '71 ragtop Barracuda w/an 8-track player and thought I was one cool dude.......

Same story, slightly different characters. Only 2 grand-kids, widower. One particular chic. Finally starting to fade at 56. She fucked me up.

We were dry humping and she decided she wanted to go to her room. She had an 8x16" picture of another dude on her dresser. She wore another "older guys" leather jacket to school (she later got pregnant and married him). Not enough refractive period after coming in my pants, we got nekkid but didn't do it. VERY strange. Fucked me up.

I thought about her a long time. Logically, she was nuts. But my heart fell, hard. LOVE IS BLIND.

FINALLY fading. Songs trigger memories. Hers mostly. But others too.

"horse with no name" by America, i think . spent that whole summer the song came out following a black-haired beauty around like a sick puppy dog. twas not to be, alas. some older man with a car swept her out of my life...

Cool, Thanx for the replies. Thought I was crazy. Like she had some "voodoo" thing or Karma action going on. Found out she actually won the lottery (small one) but still got a couple mill I guess. I have dreams like she is trying to connect with me.Never really did her wrong. But We where each others first sex (very bad)..LOL. Funny how it can effect people so many years later. Thanx for the replies.

Curing nostalgia for your ex in three easy steps:
1) Look up a current photo of her on Facebook.
2) Look in the mirror.
3) Look at a photo of your current girlfriend
= Rolling on the floor laughing 'til your belly aches.

IDK I don't have that problem, I'm married to the finest woman I've ever met. It took three try's but I finally got lucky with number three. I wouldn't trade her in on any 12 of the hottest women on the planet even if they had three boobs each.
I'm the luckiest guy in the world, it just amazes me she's still with me after 26 years.
After all this time we're still hot for eachother, go figure.
Cheers

I feel somewhat ashamed for even posting. I don't deserve my wife at all. I am truly blessed considering all she has done to stay with me. She loved me when I had nothing but my problems. The "other girl" i'm convinced would not of loved me for who I was.You see I have had the unique perspective of knowing her life. And I made the rite choice. The other girl's life has to do with snobbery..this is abhorant to me.Money can't buy happiness , but it can buy everything else but I don't need it.

Wish you were hear by PF. Love it.

As for women. My first serious girlfriend (I was 19 and she was 17) dumped me for my best friend. I coulda killed him. Still can´t think about it without getting mad and it was like 35 years ago.

She was, of course, without fault :)

the one that still haunts my dreams was the Homecoming Queen in HS. I knew her, but back then I was a skinny geek that wasn't even on her radar. 4 years later (and 30 lbs for me) we met again at college, hooked up and had our thing for about a year and then careers led us to opposite coasts.

Hadn't really thought about her for years, but when I got the invite to the 20 year HS reunion, I made the mistake of checking her out on social media and she is still a stunner! I still dream about her from time to time.

I wouldn't trade my wife of 20+ years for anything - we're happy, loving and the sex is still dynamite but that old flame still flickers from time to time . . . .
