Ok to feed chems and organics at the same time ?

Let's say you're flowering, and you're feeding flowering nutes. In my case that would be big bloom and tiger bloom. But let's say that I wanted to add just a slight bit of extra N using my veg nutes that I have (miracle grow all purpose plant food, yeah I know some people hate it, seems to be ok for me so far), and I wanted to feed the plant all three nutes at the same time. Is it ok to mix the different nutes together and just feed, or are there any detrimental effects to doing this ? I'm not worried about nute burn, I was thinking more along the lines of chems cancelling out certain organic nutes, etc. I would just basically like to know if the two different types of nutes are compatible with each other.

I've just started 12/12 and I would like a little bit more green growth, that's why I want to add just a tad more N, just in the beginning of the flowering stage. I'm thinking that's it's probably ok, but I just want to make sure. This would only be for one feeding. I know that you want more P and K in flowering, but I believe that my particular plants would benefit from a slight bit of N in the beginning also, because the leaf growth isn't how I want it yet.

High salt prolly won't affect your microherd (if that's what you mean by organic) unless it gets really high. Salts will change the pH and the microheard can be affected by pH but it's pretty negligable.
For the amount you will be giving them and for the amount of time it prolly won't make any difference. If you adopted this regime for a plant in the same container/medium for 10 years that would be a different story.

That's good to hear !

Yeah, the amount I will be giving is rather miniscule. I will of course check the PH before and after any feedings, and adjust accordingly.

Thanks for the reply !

I wouldn't mix tiger bloom and miracle grow in the same gallon of water,I'd use them seperately buts thats just me.You're going to be vegging a few weeks into the 12/12 photoperiod I use mostly nitrogen during this time.I may throw a watering or two in of tiger bloom during the first month, but I mostly use FF grow big during the stretch. You want to pack on the foliage until buds start forming, that takes N.

I always use veg nutes the first 2 weeks of flower, with a slight addition of a 0-30-20 bloom nute. After the 2nd week, I use PBP bloom and Liquid Kharma.

What is the purpose, then, of growing organically?

I'm not trying to grow 100% organic. I'm just interested in ending up with the best and biggest buds possible that I can obtain from my plants within the realms of my limited setup, in the easiest and simplest way.

The big bloom is 100% organic I believe, and I had thought that the tiger bloom was also, but I found out that it's not. I always see arguments for which is better, chems or organics, and I even see a thread on the organics forum right now regarding which yields more. So if they're both compatible with each other, then why not use both and get the best of both worlds ! lol

I do like the idea of having some organics in the soil (earthworm castings, bat guano, etc.), that's what I had on my first grow, and I fed it chem nutes in addition to that, and the plant didn't seem to complain at all, it seemed to like it, and so did the buds. I also found the taste of my buds after harvest to be acceptable and not very harsh, because I did flush for the last ten days or so before the plant got chopped.

Thanks for the input ! It's good to know that others use extra N in the beginning of flowering, it makes sense to me !

Great ! Thanks for your input. My plants will also be getting veg nutes in the beginning of 12/12 now that I've read some positive replies regarding it.
