I think anything that burns will put off co2. How much and what else it'll put off I don't know. Propane should be fine I would think.

No such thing as a stupid question.

From my understanding a candle can be burnt in a small grow box to help in rich CO2, and yes I have tried it, carefully watching, and a little growth difference, not enough for the fire risk.

Now a general coleman heater with just it's pilot light on will add CO2 and keep most the chill out of the room. Positioned properly and all I think it is safe, how safe, not sure, but it is work able.

Not sure if coleman fuel burning is good in the home, but if a propane latern is all you have than you might have something.

All I know is up in nothern OR a person is using a coleman propane heater in the grow room, a very cold winter, and it is just so that the pilot light is on and burning, so far that is all I know about it.

grow safe.

Into brewing your own beer, some do the fermenting process in the grow room.

If you really want to add CO2 right now, there is a mixture you can do out of the kitchen that will increase the level's. Baking soda in a bowl with vinger dripping down on it. ( WOW, it has been some time, do not hold me to this, as I actually can not remember what it was for sure) but you can do a few thing's with what is in the home to bring the level up some. How much not sure, is it worth it, well I found I got good or better growth with bringing in more fresh air with a better exhaust system.

grow safe and I hope you the best.

High DWW. You can put dry ice into a plastic container with holes in the top. THis will release co2 into the room. Or you can use Baking soda and vinegar. Create a system that drips vinegar into a bed of baking soda. I got this info from Jorge Cervantes book "Indoor Marijuana Horticulture". Hope this helps. peace.

DeviLock and Realhigh are givng you some good alternative co2 sources, additionally raising mushrooms, small pets(rabbits, etc) will give added co2. The Coleman stove is one I used many many years ago, and does produce some heat but placed higher than the plants and a small 'puter fan, it would deliver the gas to your plants. I left a small crack in the window at the top for air and to let out heat. Remember that you are entering a oxygen depleted room and you should take precaution not to sufficate! :friends:

How big is your room? I've got a buddy with a small room. Maybe 5' x 5' x 6'. He bought a Gen1. His burner never even comes on and his CO2 is still way too high. He gets more than enough with the pilot light only. Regulating the CO2 from your source would be the bigger stepping stone in your case. Any kind of flame burning propane will work.
