Oil- making, Is it safe

Just got finished trimming my meds and have a fair amount of trim/air buds...

I've read denatured alcohol is kosher to use to extract oil since I'm unable to find iso 99%...

Given the fact I've got a fair amount of trim etc... would it be safe/OK to dump all the goodies into a 5 gallon plastic bucket(like you get at home depot) and let it sit in denatured for a week or two..

My concerns are only about a plastic bucket..with denatured alcohol..

i would do a Quick wash of all the trim... do a little bit at a time.. only wash it for 2 minutes.. this will give you some very potent oil... and make sure you evaporate all the Da off b4 you smoke it.. .. personally i use 91% Iso Alcohol, but i have used 70% with no problem, just take longer to evaporate..

Agreed - if you dont do the quick wash you will extract all of the Chlorophyll along with the resins... then your oil will be very harsh and nasty dark green or black. Quick wash allows you to get mostly resin glands and minimal plant material. You will then have a lovely golden or red oil, which is much purer. I like to let it dry for days until it is dry to the touch and crystalline in appearance. easier to handle this way imo.
