just finishing the last of it.

as me and a friend shared a bowl we pondered on similar in taste and texture the current lavender was to the purple urkle floating around only to then find that purple urkle is infact a lavender purple pheno.

quite reassuring to my mj knowledge

tomorrow either g-13 or some aota

post some pics tomorrow

lavender is a soma strain

purple urk came from a lav pheno

anyways the lavender was a great high very uplifting yet heavy. fruity with an almost sedative scent

obtained some aota.
apparently some norcal strain that stand for "all of the above"

all in all great nugs.

a heavy citrus smell with hints of pine and diesel of some sort

really stoney.
like i smoke every day and i feel more stoned than i have in ages. keeps me awake but honestly i have been making a fool of myself since i started smoking it.

I would love to get my hands on these genetics
post pics tomorrow my buddys borrowing the cam

ive grown both and i dont mean to argue at all but im 99.99% sure lavender is a soma strain yes. but erkel is not a lavender pheno. erkel has been grown in the hills in humboldt and trinity counties for two decades now. lavender is an offering of recent years. all the purple strains do seem to carry some resemblance no doubt just thought id add my 2 cents cause erkel was my favorite strain for years. just grew lavender recently and LOVED IT! :rasta:

just got back from arcata a few weeks and picked up the aota strain. stoked to hear that it's tasty! also grow the purple urkle from the same area. it is one of my favorites to date! whatever the background it is it certainly is a special plant.

that aota is really something special... it makes the world go in slow motion, very relaxing.. very powerful and long lasting high. it smells like a hamster cage, lettuce, and tumeric, with fruity citrus undertones. I remember when that made its debut in arcata a few months after lambs bread swept through the scence... i think they are related it smells and tastes like lambsbread but less spicy and more overpowering smell. More mellow high than lambsbread too. definately much better than trainwreck in everyway.

Some info on lineage i found on another site:

Thats where your 100% wrong also, just to sit it straight, and this is from the horses mouth. The purplr urkle cut was found out of the first and only seed run done by the group that created the mendo Purps, which from what they(2 of the creators) told me was a cross between a purple paki and an old skunk. They then crossed that(the mendo purps) to a very old purple Afghani and from those seeds is where the urkle cut comes from and 2-3 other purple cuts that have been pasted around Nor Cal. Believe it or not.

The reason it was the only seed run made was due to all but 2 of the group getting busted in one of the largest outdoor grow busts to this day in Nor Cal back in the early 80's and they lost almost all of there breeding stock except for some seeds that they had stashed.

hey i just got some lavender looked similar and as soon as i got it , i could tell it reminded me of something and then it came to my mind it was similar to purple urkel i had about a year ago.
